Responsibilities:
* To study the customer requirements and convert them to technical specifications.
* To continuously interact with NPI (Project Team ) to understand and meet expectations of the customer.
* To interact with the project leader and suppliers for timely execution and completion of projects , review the designs of the aggregates , integration of aggregates and take the analysis results for further implementations.
* Plan for aggregate testing with simulation results.
* Involve into warranty analysis and also incorporate service feedback in vehicle designs.
* Ensuring timely project planning , execution and monitoring of projects for development of various aggregates for Vehicle Integration.
* Involve in Homologation and interaction with government agencies.
* Involve in various manufacturing processing activities (machinery process , metal sheet work , foundry techniques etc) for ensuring the quality requirement as per the benchmarked concept for the project..
* To develop people for superior performance by motivating,guiding subordinates to enable them to achieve organisational goals,periodically reviewing subordinate performance and identifying development needs, and organizing relevant training for employee development
* Develop risk taking capabilities and encourage actions to demonstrate the same
* Lead knowledge management efforts to leverage existing knowledge base in different area of the division and provide support to other divisions in terms of knowledge requirement

Requirements :
* Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor of Engineering/Technology in Mechanical/Automotive/Production.He may also be a Master of Engineering/Technology or have a Doctorate in Engineering.
* Required skill(s) :The candidate should have worked as a leader or as a chief engineer of any new project platform in passenger cars and should possess expertise in various vehicle systems with core competence in one or two aggregates like chassis / steering /brake/ axle/ suspension etc.Knowledge of vehicle design and simulation techniques like static/ dynamic(IDEAS , NASTRAN , Pro-E, Wildfire, Pro- Mechanical, Pro-piping , GD & T, Vismockup etc) and using the results to fine tune the design is also expected.Expertise in integration of various vehicle systems with the inputs / feedback from testing and vehicle testing like vehicle performance testing etc. and exposure to styling and aesthetics should also be there. The candidate should have an in depth understanding of various manufacturing processes (machinery process , metal sheet work , foundry techniques etc) and quality requirements.Knowledge of all legistlative standards(AIS) and new regulations(CMVR, EEC, ECE,ADR, FMVSS etc) shall also be preferred.
* Preferred skill(s) : Should have updates on the latest trend in the automobile industry related to alternate fuel,engines,chassis etc.Extensive knowledge of metallurgy and awareness towards alternate material selection and of product development process ( DFMEA, FEA,DOE etc ) , CAD/CAE , phase gate system and digital product development involving DMU Management will be an added advantage.Good analytical skills to resolve concerns by using classical techniques like 8-D , Triz , DEO etc shall be given weight age.Leadership skills & strategic orientation ability are also being looked for.
