Indian Rare Earths Limited (IREL) a Public Sector Undertaking under the administrative control of the Department of Atomic Energy is the industry leader in the area of Beach Sand Minerals like illmenite, rutile (titanium ores), zircon, monazite, sillimanite, etc., and producer of rare earth (Lanthanides) chemicals, thorium nitrate etc. The company requires professionals for the following positions at its Units located in Kerala, Tamil Nadu & Orissa.

Applications are invited from Indian nationals for the following posts on regular basis in the Industrial Dearness Allowance (IDA) pay scale.

1.Manager (Security) : 1
Scale of Pay : Rs.29100-54500
Age limit as on 01.01.2010 : 45 Years

2.Dy. Security Officer : 1
Scale of Pay : Rs.12600-32500
Age limit as on 01.01.2010 : Min.35 and Max.45 Years

3.Medical Officer : 2
Scale of Pay : Rs.16400-40500
Age limit as on 01.01.2010 : 35 Years

4.Officer(Mines Survey) : 2
Scale of Pay : Rs.16400-40500
Age limit as on 01.01.2010 : 35 Years

Qualification, Experience & Age :
1. Manager (Security) :
Must be a Graduate and commissioned Officer not below the rank of a Captain in Indian Army or equivalent retired from Indian Defence Services. Preference will be given to those who additionally possess Industrial Security experience (like CISF) and working knowledge of Oriya/Hindi.
Upper age limit : 45 years (as on 01.01.2010 including relaxation for Ex-servicemen)

2. Dy. Security Officer :
+2 Certificate Examination from a recognized Board/University.
Must have retired from the Coloured Service in the rank of Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO) from Indian Army, Indian Navy or Indian Air Force with minimum 10 years of experience.
Minimum age limit is 35 years and Maximum age limit would be 45 years as on 01.01.2010 (including relaxation for Ex-servicemen)
The candidate should be willing to work in shift to perform Security Shift In-charge functions.
Preference will be given to those having working knowledge of Oriya/Hindi.
Place of posting :
The successful candidates for the above 2 positions will be posted at IREL-OSCOM Unit, Chatrapur, Dist. Ganjam, Orissa. However, the company reserves the right to transfer subsequently to other units of IREL depending on necessity.

3. Medical Officer :
M.B.B.S. from a recognized University approved by Medical Council of India with minimum 2 years of Post qualification experience after Internship.
Preference will be given to candidates having Post Graduate Diploma in Industrial Health/Associate Fellow of Industrial Health from Central Labour Institute or other recognized institutes of India.
Knowledge of Malayalam in case of posting at Kerala and knowledge of Oriya and working knowledge of Hindi in case of posting at Orissa is desirable.

Place of posting :
The successful candidates for the above 2 positions will be posted 1 each at IREL- Rare Earths Division, Udyogamandal, Aluva/Minerals Division, Chavara, Dist. Kollam at Kerala and IREL-OSCOM, Chatrapur, Dist. Ganjam, Orissa. However, the company reserves the right to transfer subsequently to other units of IREL depending on necessity.

4. Officer (Mines Survey) :
Diploma in Mining/Diploma in Mining Engineering/Diploma in Mining and Mine Surveying/Diploma in Mine Surveying/Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized Institution with 5 (five) years of surveying experience in a reputed mine.
Candidate must possess Surveyor’s Certificate of Competency issued by DGMS, Dhanbad
Preference will be given to candidates having knowledge in AUTOCAD and Total Station.
Place of posting :
The successful candidates for the above 2 positions will be posted 1 each at
IREL- Manavalakurichi Plant, Dist. Kanyakumari, Tamil Nadu and
IREL-Chavara Plant, Dist. Kollam, Kerala.
However, the company reserves the right to transfer subsequently to other units of IREL depending on necessity.

ALLOWANCES AND BENEFITS :
In addition to Basic Pay, DA @ 30.9% of Basic Pay, HRA (20% of Basic Pay at Aluva and 10% of Basic Pay at Other Units), (Non-practicing Allowance @ 15% of Basic Pay and DA in the case of Medical Officer), Perks and Allowances such as Conveyance Allowance, Professional Development Allowance, Uniform Up-keeping allowance, Festival Allowance, Reimbursement of cost of medicine for Domiciliary treatment, Leave Travel Allowance, etc., will be paid and benefits such as EPF, Gratuity, Superannuation contribution, Medical Assistance, Group Insurance, are also admissible as per rules of the Company.

GENERAL CONDITIONS :
1. Only Indian Nationals need to apply. Mere submission of application will not entail right for claiming Appointment.
2. Candidates from Government Depts / PSUs must forward their applications through proper channel or they should produce NOC at the time of interview otherwise they will be treated to have agreed to forego the benefits of carry forward of gratuity, leave salary and any future benefit for past service etc.
3. In order to regulate the number of candidates to be called for the test and/or interview, if so required, the Management reserves the right to raise the minimum eligibility standards/criteria, OR to relax the minimum eligibility standards/criteria including age limit in otherwise suitable candidates depending upon the response to the advertised posts.
4. Merely meeting the above qualifications and experience shall not entitle a candidate to be called for interview. Only short-listed candidates will be notified for Test and/or interview..
5. Depending on the requirements, the Company reserves the right to cancel/curtail/increase the number of posts without any further notice and without assigning any reason thereof.
6. Age and experience are to be counted as on 01.01.2010.
7. All the above conditions of qualification, experience, age limit etc. are applicable to applicants from IREL also.
