Job Description :

Summary : The successful candidate will be an ambitious self-starter who has demonstrated the ability to function as an effective and strategic leader/manager in a dynamic, fast-paced and demanding environment. This individual will have a strong technical Accounting background, experience working within the Financial Services industry and a proven track record of building and managing effective teams. The role of Offshore Director within a Third Party administrator for hedge fund clients.

Key Responsibilities :
• Review of monthly fund and business entity closing summaries for Third Party Clients
• Report and analyze financial data to be disseminated by the onshore team to clients and investors
• Generate estimated performance returns
• Close monthly books and records of the funds to general final performance figures,
• Interact with onshore teams to obtain understanding of funds’ activities
• Prepare financial statements for funds
• Collaborate with other team members to build scalable operations to meet the service needs of a large portfolio of clients
• Consistently look to streamline and automate the reporting/analytical process with the use of technology
• Build a high-performance team through learning, development, mentoring and recruiting
• Act as a point person to onshore management team and help resolve delivery issues between onshore and offshore teams
• Provide leverage to the Heads of Financial Control
• Develop and maintain metrics and dashboards on a monthly basis and determine areas of improvement
• Ensure overall adherence to the defined SLA and implement remediation plans for areas of concern
• Coordinate transition of new clients from Chicago to India

Desired Profile :

Qualifications :
• A minimum of 10- 14 years of Accounting experience
• Experience with Hedge Funds, Investment Management and/or Financial Services strongly preferred
• Proven management and team leadership experience
• CA preferred
• Bachelors degree with emphasis in Accounting, Master degree a plus
• Big 4 public accounting experience a plus

Excellent Excel and MS Office skills
• Excellent English, grammar, written and oral communication skills
• Adaptive, flexible style with the ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
