Designation ; Application Developer

Job Description :
The job holder designs relational databases and supporting programs to support development of business applications. S/he assists in obtaining and documenting business requirements for database development. S/he oversees new data and function development and ensures consistency and integration with existing application data structures. S/he codes, tests and implements complex programs and scripts to build, populate and maintain data stored in line of business database applications. S/he develops data models and process models that reflect application specific requirements and works with DBA staff to make database design decisions that translate logical data models into physical database structures. May direct the work of other team members regarding requirements development, application database design issues and application programming support.Minimum 3 - 5 years experience required. Job holder must have previous experience in a lead role for eliciting, defining and documenting client needs.S/he must also be knowledgeable about tools and techniques related to physical database design and associated issues including maintenance, performance and support. Job holder must have prior application implementation experience leading plans, coordinating tasks with end users, operations and quality management, and participating in reviews and modeling sessions for complex applications. S/he must be able to produce detail-level functional requirement documentation and lead walk-throughs and quality reviews. Job holder must be experienced in all aspects of user acceptance testing and load or performance testing. S/he must have experience with complex queries involving tables or databases and experience with aggregate functions, complex joins, groupings, dynamic and embedded SQLs.
