Designation : Test Engineer - PE

Job Description :
This person will function as a QA test engineer as part of a team that will design, develop, document, implement, and execute automation tests for EMC’s cross-platform software. This includes writing/debugging test cases in C, Perl, and Marathon and using EMC’s storage oriented command-line interface (SymCLI) for managing the Symmetrix and Clariion storage array systems. The focus is on the test development and automation of test cases currently requiring constant interaction with both product developers and QA engineers and the development of automated tests for all aspects of the product. Debugging and failure analysis are a must for the successful candidate. In addition, the candidate should exhibit self sufficiency, high levels of motivation, and the ability to quickly and thoroughly learn new and complex topics.

Desired Profile :
• BE/BTech/ME/MTech/MS in CS or equivalent.
• 8-10 years experience with hands-on Software Engineering
• Detailed knowledge of MS Windows 2003 and 2008 setup and configuration
• Detailed knowledge of Linux, Solaris, AIX, and HP-UX setup and configuration
• Detailed knowledge of VMware and Hyper-V setup and configuration
• Strong automated testing experience on both UNIX and Windows operating system platforms
• Strong Client/Server UI testing experience required
• Strong applications tool testing knowledge with Exchange, SQL and Oracle products
• Knowledge and experience working with Clariion and Symmetrix technologies and Solution Enabler CLIs
• Working knowledge of software IDEs and debugging tools (i.e., Visual Studio/.NET, gdb, etc.)
• Proven ability to deliver high quality portable testing scripts
• Ability to work effectively in fast paced multi-team test development and regression environment
• Excellent cross-platform analysis and troubleshooting ability
• Experience writing detailed technical documents
• Knowledge of computer system performance analysis and measurement
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Good analysis and problem solving skills are required.
