Subject: - DIRECT RECRUITMENT OF HC(MINISTERIAL)

Applications are invited from male Indian Citizens fulfilling the eligibility criteria for filling the vacancies of Head Constable (Ministerial) in the “SASHATRA SEEMA BAL”, ministry of Home Affairs, Govt of India. The last date of receipt of application from is_07.05.2010. However, the closing date of receipt of application by post from the candidates hailing from North Eastern States, Sikkim ,Pangi Sub- Division of Chamba, Lahaul and Spiti districts of Himachal Pradesh,ladakh Division of Jammu and Kashmir State and the Union Territories of Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep will be 14.05.2010. No application will be entertained received after the above date.

Head Constable (Ministerial) Male : 218 posts
Pay Scale : Rs. 5200- 20200 grade pay Rs.2400/-,
Age : 18-25 years, relaxation as per rule,
Qualification :
1.Intermediate (10+2) or equivalent from a recognized Board/ Institute.
2. Typing speed 30 words per minute in English or 25 words per minute in Hindi.

SELECTION PROCEDURE:-
i) Ist Stage : Documentation and PST
ii) 2nd Stage : P.E.T.
iii) 3rd Stage : Written Test
iv) 4th Stage : Typing test.
v) 5th Stage : Interview and final medical examination.
vi) The final selection of the candidates will be made in order of merit for each
category. The cut off percentage of marks for written examination will be as under:-
General/Ex-servicemen (GEN)/OBC- 40% SC/ST - 35%

PHYSICAL EFFICIENCY TEST : 01 K.M.Race to be completed in 08 Minutes

WRITTEN TEST EXAMINATION/ TYPING TEST/INTERVIEW:-
The candidates who qualify in the Physical Efficiency Test will be required to appear in Written Examination in the following subject, which will consist of objective as well as narrative types
i) There will be only one question paper for two hour duration consisting of above four parts which will be OBJECTIVE TYPE WITH MULTIPLE CHOICE. The question papers will be printed both in Hindi and English. The candidate will have the option to answer questions either in Hindi Or in English.
ii) The minimum qualifying marks for Written Tests are 40% for General Category/Ex-servicemen / OBC and 35% for SC/ST candidates

TYPING TEST:-
The candidates who qualify the Written Test will be allowed in the Typing test which is only qualifying test. Minimum Speed of 30 Words per minutes in English Typing or 25 Words per minutes in Hindi Typing.

INTERVIEW :-
The candidates who obtain the prescribed qualifying percentage in written examination as well as declared qualified in the typing test will be allowed/called for Interview to check personal bearing, response, aptitude, general level of intelligence etc. The total marks for interview will be 25 marks i.e. 15 marks for general knowledge and current affairs and overall assessment of personality plus 10 marks will be awarded to candidates having creditable achievements in sports, NCC, Scout and Guides and extra curricular activities. Claims of achievements should be supported by the documents. There shall be no qualifying marks in Interview.

MERIT LIST:-
Merit list will be drawn based upon marks secured in written Test and Interview subject to qualifying typing speed test

DOCUMENTS TO BE ATTACHED WITH THE APPLICATION I.E. ATTESTED COPIES:-
(a) Education /Technical qualification certificate (s).
(b) Date of birth certificate (Matriculation or 10th class certificate)
(c) SC/ST/OBC certificate on the prescribed format.
(d) Certificate of bonafide/domicile/PRC of that state from designated revenue authorities for verification of Citizenship of India.
(e) Demand Draft/IPO for Rs.50/- (Non-refundable).
(f) Two self addressed envelopes duly affixed postage stamps worth Rs.6/- each.
(g) Ex-servicemen must submit photocopies of discharge/release certificate in support of claim of ex-servicemen and caste certificate if belongs to SC/ST/OBC on the format prescribed for Central Govt.
(h) Certificate of achievements in sports,adventure sports, NCC, Scout & Guides and other extra curricular activities, if held by the candidate.
(i) Departmental/Government service candidates must enclose No OBJECTION CERTIFICATE.
(j) Certificates issued by competent authority w.r.t. J&K domicile during 1.1.89 to 31.12.90, Dependents of 1984 riots or 2002 communal riots of Gujarat as the case may be.

After preliminary scrutiny of application “APPLICATION
RECEIVING CENTRE , all eligible candidates will be informed about the DATE AND VENUE OF THE RECRUITMENT TEST. Admit cards with this information will be posted on mailing address given in the application as submitted by the candidate. No appeal/representation will be entertained against rejection of application. For postal delay and non receipt of Admit Card, SSB will not be responsible and no correspondence in this regard will be entertained.
