    · Design, development and release various components of Instrument Panel like IP substrate, center finish panel, Instrument Cluster bezel, Register Bezels, Adapter Ducts, glove box ,Speaker etc meeting all requirements of plastic injection molding for Ford fusion CD 338 and Lincoln MKZ CD 378 where IP is manufactured by skin and foam method (soft IP).

    · Conducted feasibility assessment of clay model right from the beginning by establishing hard points for reference.

    · Engineered evaluation of all 2D and 3D cad (as per the FC milestones) to develop a final approved surface in a Concurrent engineering approach engaging Ford Design studio, suppliers and tool designers. Develop B-side features after packaging all internal components and modules within the specified tolerance (by bringing ergo zone, foot zone, Knee zone etc.). Conduct stack up study (DVA). Manage CAE work on 3dCAD in the feasibility stage. Drive suppliers to choose right materials as per color harmony and functionality with sufficient benchmarking and research. Also assure all interfaces are designed with proper locating and attachment strategy to have an edge in the competition by achieving tight tolerance for improved appearance.

    - My Role –In a team of four, my role was to study and subsequently analyze the time and effort taken for shop floor activities. Based on my study our team had proposed recommendations to optimize the processes to bring down the overall time (including set up time and wait time) and effort to undertake the process leading to reduction of the production cost (including transportation, operational and other costs) which makes the process more effective.
