Job title : Architecture
General Function : Obtains and analyzes requirements for a project. Designs systems and the interfaces between systems to meet project requirements. Evaluates and selects technologies and products to be used in the project solution. Evaluates existing architecture and establishes technical direction. Supports project teams with technical issues and solutions. Keeps informed and trained in advances in their specific field.

Capable of performing effectively in a team, or alone and unsupervised. Communicates effectively with team members and management. May require specialized pharmaceutical industry experience and/or knowledge of particular products.

RWT Role : Intermediate-Develops architecture
Experience : 5-7 Years system design and implementation

In the role of Infrastructure Engineer, the primary responsibilities are
as follows :

o Initiate and direct Reference Architecture projects
o Work with TP&S and Architecture councils to prioritize RA development activities
o Create business case assessments to determine ROI of projects
o Oversee the creation of project proposals, including funding,staffing, presentation to governance
o Ensure adequate staffing; writing project role descriptions and participating in staff selection
o Manage the delivery of Reference Architecture projects such as Grid
o Update MSP profiles per work assignments
o Review/approve timecards for MSP personnel
o Manage eContainer project status and Cognos project funding
o Update Technology roadmap for the Reference Architectures
o Ensure the use of reusable components and processes at project initiation,
o Serve as the Pfizer Point of Contact for day-to-day project activities requiring escalation
o Responsible for defining, capturing, and reporting project-based metrics.
o Responsible for capturing the "lessons learned", (in partnership with the team) and updating the reusable components and best practices.

o Continued refinement of existing team processes
o Analyze project metrics and define plans for
o Work with other CE teams to facilitate the rollout of the project, including Quality Management, Release Management, Maintenance Engineering, and PSO to ensure the viability and supportability of the environment, and that the capabilities are consistent with BTE goals.


QUALIFICATIONS SOUGHT :
1. EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND :
BS degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related field required.

DESIRABLE : Master's Degree in Computer Science or Masters of Information Management

2. WORK EXPERIENCE/SKILLS :
MINIMUM :
o 5 years leading technical infrastructure, platform, or enterprise software project teams.
o Working knowledge of the iSLC
o Strong written and verbal communication skills.
o Demonstrated experience working with, and implementing standards-based infrastructures.
o Proven ability to direct the work of others.
o Familiarity with IPP ratings and implicit requirements thereof.
o Experience in managing and working with distributed teams in a matrixed environment.
o Experience managing external software suppliers and consultants.
o Excellent problem solving, analytical, and time-management skills.
o Solid project management skills.
o Strong interpersonal skills & able to develop and maintain effective and credible relationships with business leaders and supplier management.

DESIRABLE:
o Experience working with off-shore vendors for service provisioning.
o Experience working in a pharmaceutical environment (GxP, 21 CFR11).
o Experience providing coaching and performance management for colleagues, including performance reviews and talent development.
