Job title : Architecture/Technical Lead
Overview of the Technical Lead Role :
The Technical Lead (TL) is responsible for software development under the structured content authoring umbrella with the business perspective provided by the Technical Assurance Manager (TAM). The end product of their efforts will lead to an efficient, high quality authoring and publishing strategy. The TL is accountable for ensuring that the technical plans are planned, developed and executed to assist in the development of components. In addition the TL is responsible for ensuring execution of a global XML strategy for the program as well as for the project lines.
The TL will manage the development of the infrastructure, being involved in all of the technical decisions in an advisory capacity. In addition, will be providing technical direction and assignments on assigned SCA workstreams and the coding of some of the custom applications, particularly involving interaction with established Pfizer systems such as DMPS, Pflite, and GDMS.
Level of Commitment and Duration
The TL role is designated as a 100% commitment throughout 2007 and functionally reports to the TAM.

Objectives :
a) Understand the technical solution from all angles. In this architecture that responsibility will include but not be limited to Documentum, Arbortext and Tomcat.
b) Understand the legacy architectures of Pfizer and the business rules that surround them to enable appropriate interaction with established systems
c) Ensure use of and alignment with technical and architectural information along with tools to derive Structured Content Authoring (SCA) recommendations for SCA topics
d) Support all assigned technical activities and engage in evaluating SCA proposals and functional requirements, recognizing industry best practices
e) Ensure in conjunction with the TAM that all modules are working in conjunction with each other for technical uniformity
f) Lead a team of technical professionals.
g) Participate as part of the technical team at every project level.
