SELECTION OF EXECUTIVE TRAINEES (CIVIL/ELECTRICAL/ SIGNAL & TELECOM/ARCHITECT) FOR
DELHI AND OTHER METRO.
Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), a Joint Venture company with equity participation from Govt. of India and Govt. of National Capital Territory of Delhi has been entrusted with the responsibility of implementation of the rail based Mass Rapid transit System for Delhi.
Applications are invited from dynamic and result oriented Engineers (Civil, Electrical, and Electronics), having a minimum of 70% marks in B.Tech/B.E examination (in respective disciplines) and Architects having a minimum of 60% marks in B.Arch, from AICTE recognized Institutes/Universities, for selection of 18 Executive Trainees for Delhi Metro Rail Corporation, 04 for Chennai Metro Rail Ltd and 03 for Kolkata Metro Rail corporation Ltd. as Executive Trainee. The number of slots is provisional & may undergo slight change.
Age : 21-28 years as on 01/01/2010. Relaxation as per rules.
Educational Qualification:
A minimum of 70% marks in B.Tech/B.E examination (Civil, Electrical, and Electronics) and a minimum of 60% marks in B.Arch, from AICTE recognized Institutes/Universities.
Appearing candidates:
Candidates, who are appearing at the qualifying exam (B.Tech/B.E./B.Arch), passing of which would render them educationally qualified for this examination but have not been informed of the results, will also be eligible for admission to this examination. Such candidates will be admitted to the examination, if otherwise eligible, but their admission would be deemed to be provisional and subject to cancellation, if they do not produce proof of having passed the requisite qualifying examination on the date of Interview/Group Discussion. The result should have been declared for public through newspaper/website etc & should be in public domain.
Training:
Selected candidates will be sent for one year ‘Post Graduate Diploma Course’ in “Metro Technology and Management” at IIT/Delhi as Executive Trainee. During the duration of above course, the trainees will be paid a consolidated stipend of Rs.25000/- p.m. Accommodation facility for self only will be arranged by DMRC during the period of the course at IIT/Delhi.
Seniority:
The inter-se seniority of the Executive Trainees in the concerned discipline at Assistant Manager level in their respective metro will depend on the overall performance at the Post Graduate Diploma Course at IIT/Delhi. Further, their seniority, in the discipline concerned, upon absorption, will count retrospectively from the date of start of the course at IIT/Delhi.
Probation:
After induction as Assistant Manager, they will be on probation for a period of two years. After successful completion of probation, they will be confirmed as per the policy of the respective Metro.
Bond & Notice Period time:
Before joining the course, they will have to execute a bond of Rs. 5 Lakh to serve DMRC/ respective Metro for a period of five years (This is inclusive of the PG Diploma course period of about one year). They will also have to give a notice of three months (working) if they want to leave DMRC/respective Metro at any point of time during the bond period.
Application Fee : Demand Draft for Rs.300/- for General & OBC candidates and for Rs.50/- for SC & ST candidates drawn in favour of Delhi Metro Rail corporation Limited, payable at New Delhi indicating on the reverse of the DD, their name & address, e-mail, telephone no. if any.
