Goa Shipyard Limited, a Public Sector Company under the Ministry of Defense, is presently engaged in the activities of designing and building special purpose modern sophisticated ships for the Navy ,
Coast Guard, Commercial and Export segment. The Company is looking for the following personnel.

Mobile crane operator cum vehicle driver (On fixed term basis for 02 years) WALK–IN Interview

Scale of Pay : Basic Rs. 5800/- per month during the first year and Rs. 5970/- per month during the second year in the pay scale of Rs. 5800-3%-15360 (W2)

Upper Age Limit : 28 years as on 01.02.2010

Job Description and Responsibilities :
Qualification : Essential: SSC and must possess heavy vehicle driving license issued by competent authority. The candidate must have minimum 2 years experience in operating Mobile crane and should be able to drive light and heavy motor vehicles. Persons having experience in driving Escorts/ Lima/ Coles/ TATA/ Tyre mounted / Crawler type / Lattice/ Telescopic Boom cranes will be preferable.

General :
The upper age limit for un-reserved category is 28 years as on 01.02.2010 which is relaxable by 05 years for Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe candidates; 03 years for candidates from Other Backward Classes (Non-creamy layer) in respect of vacancies reserved for the respective categories and an additional 10 years for Physically Challenged Candidates. Age relaxation for Ex-servicemen will be as per Government Rules. Further age relaxation may be considered in the cases where candidates possess experience of working in /for shipyards at the discretion of the Management.
(a) Benefits for posts such as DA, HRA and other allowances as applicable to the grade as per rules.
(b) Candidates having more experience in the relevant field and otherwise fulfilling the eligibility criteria may be considered for age relaxation at the discretion of the Management.
(c) Candidates working in Govt. /Quasi Government/Public Sector Undertaking /Autonomous Bodies must apply through proper channel or produce “No Objection Certificate” at the time of interview without which the candidates will not be interviewed.
(d) Management reserves the right to raise the eligibility criteria for short listing the candidates.
(e) Number of posts indicated would be filled by fixed term basis or regular basis at the discretion of the Management.
(f) The Govt. directives on reservation for SC/ST/OBC/ PWD/Ex-servicemen will be strictly followed.
