Our client: Our client, one of the leading international construction groups, with worldwide diversified activities, offers a full range of services in engineering and construction projects. The firm`s evolution over a 50-year span is reflected in its continuing record of achievements performing major civil, industrial and electromechanical projects worldwide. On behalf of the client, we are looking for Destressing Engineer for their railway project in Saudi Arabia.


Responsibilities:
[LIST][*]To plan, order and supervise the execution of the railway trackworks.[*]Experience in destressing operation for continuous welded rails.[*]To carry out static destressing calculations and assess design solutions for a whole range of tasks.[*]Experience in various types of temperature measuring devices. [*]Knowledge in destressing temperature (td), prevailing temperature (tp), installation temperature (ti), and Rail mean temperature of continuous welded rails. [*]Experience about function and behavior of continuous welded rails under abnormal temperatures and cooling climate conditions. [*]Be responsible for implementation of daily work schedule and prepare work progress reports.[*]Review of design and shop drawings.[*]Implement project quality and safety plan, as he has to complete specific Quality forms.[*]Liaise with other departments to ensure destressing requirements are fully integrated. [*]Keep record of the materials that have been received at work site.[/LIST]

Requirements:
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering from a reputable University.
Minimum of 5 years of working experience in the Rail Industry.
Able to supervise a team of Foremen, Destressing Personnel and Destressing activities with all the machineries.
Knowledge about materials, tools and plants required for carrying out destressing operation for the continuous welded railway track.
Knowledge about Alumino-Thermit welding process and their laying tolerance.
Knowledge in laying and maintenance of continuous welded railway track.
Knowledge in Track protection rules while carrying out the destressing operation on running track.
Action to be taken in case of buckling of track/rail fractures due to variation of temperature ranges.
Knowledge of HYSTERESIS CURVE and Creep of continuous welded railway track.
Have knowledge to organize his team and machinery to realize the daily work target.
Computer Literate.
Fluent in English
