DESIGN ENGINEER
Job Description:
Design of sheet metal and cast parts and assemblies using Pro/E Wildfire. Involvement in Product Design and Development of Off-Highway, Automotive, Consumer Durable components, assemblies etc.

Experience: 1 Year
Experience in design and detailing of sheet metal parts. Conversant with creation of flat patterns, bend allowances, GD&T, Large assembly management, top-down methodology using skeletons etc.
Knowledge and awareness of sheet metal forming operations, welding symbols and terminologies.
Pro-E Wildfire proficiency is a must.

Education: B.E/ B.Tech in Mechanical OR Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with at least 2+ years experience.

PROJECT TITLE :”DESIGN AND ANALYSIS OF A THRUST BEARING USED IN TURBINE SHAFT”
A bearing is a machine element which supports another moving machine element (known as journal). A plain bearing also known as a plane bearing, is simplest type of bearing, comprising just a bearing surface and no rolling elements. Therefore the journal (i.e, the part of the shaft in contact with the bearing) slides over the bearings surface.
The requirement of the bearing material is that they should have sufficient strength and rigidity. It also should have high compressive strength to withstand the maximum pressure, sufficient fatigue strength to with stand the repeated loads without developing surface fatigue cracks. The bearing material should have high thermal conductivity and low coefficient of thermal expansion. The materials used for bearing are babbit metal, bronze cast iron, silver and non metallic like graphite, rubber and plastics.
