Experience in brief :
Sri Sai Sindhu industry is basically a sponge iron industry, the heat which is Produced in the Klein of sponge iron plant is used by the Waste Heat recovery boilers 1 and 2(W.H.R.B.-1&2) with 7.5 tones per hour (T.P.H) capacity besides it also contains an F.B.C (fluidized bed Combustion) boiler with 11.5 T.P.H. capacity is used to produce Required steam in order to rotate the turbine of a generator to produce Required electrical power F.B.C also uses husk for production of steam in order to produce power in the absent of coal.
Most of the electrical power generated is supplied to the central power distribution company (A.P.C.P.D.C.L.) duly connecting to a 33/11 K.V. sub station near Tadipatri. The balance power can be used for their industry auxiliary requirement.
During my above training period the following are studied.
1. Finding out the insulation and winding resistance of a three phase motors
existing for the above units.
2. Study of the equipment available at 33/11 K.V. switch yard connected to a power
plant.
3. Study of the equipment available at D.M.plant.
4. Study of cooling tower auxiliaries.
