Details of the job:
An electrochemistry researcher with a minimum experience of 5 years is requested. The candidate must have good experience in performing, planning projects in electrochemistry research. Successful candidate will understand fundamentals of electrochemistry, kinetics of electrochemical reactions, and applied aspects of electrochemistry.Conduct and/or lead major technical projects with minimal guidance and within time and budget constraints.
He should be able to :
1) develop test plans and protocols; design, conduct and supervise electrochemical experiments related to batteries, capacitors, fuel cells, solar cells, corrosion systems, and electrochemical synthesis.
2) Analyze electrochemical data with a focus on mechanistic understanding;
3) Write reports and present findings.
4) Be expected to work with teams to propose new ideas in electrochemical components and systems, and to help secure funding in these areas.
5) Maintain both formal and informal communications and relationships with clients.
Required Qualifications :
- Masters or Ph.D. degree in Chemistry, Material Science, Electrochemistry, Electrochemical Engineering or other closely-related physical science.
he should present a good record of achievement such as good number of published paper in reputed journals.
the salary will depend mainly on the qualifications and achievements.

I have completed M.Tech in Electro-chemical engineering and B.Tech in chemical & Electrochemical engineering from Central Electro-chemical Research Institute (CECRI), Karaikudi. (One of CSIR laboratories governed by central government.Ref : www.cecri.res.in) and has relevant experience of 4 years in Automobile & Corrosion industry.
Currently I am working in TVS Motor Company as “Sr.Engineer-Production engineering” in manufacturing and quality control department which is located at Hosur, Tamilnadu.

1. Responsible for the quality of finished products in 4 painting plants(Metal painting, Powder coating, ACED and plastic painting).
2. Carryout process improvements by monitoring key process & constituents of painting like paint, thinner, hardener, pre-treatment chemicals, powder (powder coating) quality and modify them if required with the help of suppliers.
3. Support production function by conducting process lab tests consisting of SST, QUV, QCT and other paint quality testing equipment

3. Saved 24.5 lakhs / annum by optimizing the NVM in CED plant which has led to reduction of paint consumption.
4. Durability improvement of QUV (500 hrs to 750 hrs) by implementing the aliphatic hardener in the plastic painting.
5. Eliminated stripping process(hazardous to environment) in fuel tanks by introducing a new method(Pyrolysis-Deep sanding) first time in TVSM.
