This position is responsible for leading the digital/baseband hardware design (digital, analog, and power) on Nimble’s wireless product designs.

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor/Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronics with 8+ years of experience with at-least 3 years in mobile/consumer/wireless device design required. Requires proven technical leadership record in product HW design and integration with good understanding of digital, baseband, audio and power design requirements for high volume consumer/wireless products. Prior experience should include leading a team of engineers on design and validation/optimization of performance of a portable wireless product. Knowledge of either: WiFi, WiMax, CDMA, GSM or GPS circuits, subsystems, and test equipment is strongly required. Hardware troubleshooting skills and strong knowledge of Wireless/Digital test equipment a must. Ability to work in a cross-functional environment. Position requires excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Excellent presentation skills and ability to multi task will be a strong plus.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Leads team of talented HW engineers through all phases of the product design from concept through pilot production. Effectively communicates the plans, schedules, and status to Project manager and other team members. Anticipates, identifies and solves hardware engineering design issues. Develops test procedures and design documentation. Independently debugs and integrates analog and digital circuits. Co-ordinates with other engineering groups including CAD, configuration management, manufacturing, test engineering, software and systems in solving design issues. Performs qualification and integration testing of circuit cards, modules, and/or components; and evaluates performance against predicted results and documents the test results. Co-ordinates hardware schematic and layout designs. Performs other duties as assigned. Domestic/International travel required.
