CV Resume : SECONDARY SCHOOL PRINCIPAL

My Profile in the field of Education :
As per as my profile in the field of education I must say that for the last 18 long years I have been working in this field for its promotion and upliftment. For the first 6 years I made an extensive study of the depth of education interacting and communicating the illiterate and semiliterate mass working practically as a teacher, Principal, councilor, social worker and guide for the section mentioned above. I worked in metropolitan cities to know the benefits the students and parents are getting being a metropolitan. But, as my intention and objective was not to develop the already developed one, I decided to march towards the interior and remote tribal areas, with an first hand experience of the metropolitan techniques, for the development of the tribal mass as a whole to impart my experiences to them. So, first I choose Korba district of Chattisgarh where near about 70% of the people are tribal. Finding it a suitable place I started my research work on the tribal on the topic “Role of Panchayati Raj in Rural Development”. During my research I got surprised to see that in this area the schools are only on the papers. I interacted with the people of two blocks, Pali and Katghora, and from 3 villages I collected the educated people and with the help of them I started their primary schools. I also worked there for the upliftment of the tribal women who are deprived of their rights. I also started many awareness programmes against the taking of liquor by the tribal.

Then I moved to Amarkantak, another tribal area of Madhya Pradesh. There I worked as the Principal in a big, well-furnished residential school, but here also my motto was to work with the tribal. I faced lot of difficulties to have interaction with the tribal because there are many tribal communities who never prefer to interact with outsider. More than this, there were no roads to the villages and I have to go pedestrially for 10 to 20 kilometers to meet the tribal. I brought 7 tribal girls, with the permission of their parents to the residential school where I was working and gave them free education in the school for this I requested the management of the school to exempt at least 50% of their total fees and they agreed heartily. The rest of the 50% is born by me. Even today when I have left the school I use to bear the 50% charges of those girls. Here also I worked very hard for the upliftment of the women by initiating various programmes.

After devoting there for two years I came to the district of Kalahandi, which is the most backward and poor region of our country. Here I joined a very small school, Young Blood Public School. I devoted most of time in raising the educational standard of the students, specially the tribal students of this school. This town, Kesinga became my workshop as I see many lacunae here in this town and in the school. I saw that teachers are devoting 7 to 8 hours and are getting a monthly salary of just 300 to 400 rupees only. This shocked me a lot and put my step for raising the salary of the teachers. I raised the salary of the teachers with minimum salary of 1000 rupees per month. I also tried to eradicate the conservative ideas in the mind of the people. The example being, before my joining the school, hardly any mother or any lady was visiting the school with the problem of her child, but within six months of my joining I created such an atmosphere that now around 80% of the mother of the students visit to me to discussed the problems of the children. At least, it will take one more year to remove other problems related to the management of the school, living and educational standard of the students as well as the teachers.

I have devoted my life for the upliftment of educational standard, especially in the tribal girls and boys. I belong to a very rich family and I am from one of the most developed state of our country, Pubjab, and bread and butter is not a problem for me but I have devoted my life to enjoy the pain felt by the tribal. So I have quit all luxuries and am determined to devote myself for raising the overall standard of the poor and tribals. I am enjoying my work and I think it as the beginning of my long run.

MY EXPERIENCE WITH THE SCHOOL EDUCATION :
It has been a privilege to be a teacher. Teaching is a mission other than profession. In my 18 years experience with school education, dedicated to my profession, emotional attachment to my students, becoming a part of their progress, molding their behaviour and attitude to face the challenge of the world have been my concern. The chief objective of my teaching is to make the students interested in the subject taught, which itself insures progress. As a child who has delight in his/her work can assimilate knowledge more easily than one who is working under compulsion.
I have been in the teaching profession for the last 18 years, out of which, last nine years I am working as Principal.I have found that teaching students is a great learning experience where one needs to turn up one’s skill, techniques with individual problem, attitude and behavior. I always took risk but always try to implement new ideas. Of course, there is no substitute for hard work and commitment, which are essential ingredients for a good teacher or the best Principal. For me money is not the criteria, my motto is job satisfaction. No doubt, money is essential but job satisfaction is more essential than money. I cannot compromise with those situations, which can be faced. Due to this I face problems also. I always work with my own condition and own decisions, but I always give the result demanded by the management of the institution. I want to be a real administrative not a puppet.
