TELE-PRINTER OPERATOR (HEAD CONSTABLE) IN DELHI POLICE-2010

Applications from Indian nationals are invited to fill up 603 vacancies of Assistant Wireless Operator/Tele-Printer Operator (Head Constable) in Delhi Police. Recruitment will be held at Delhi for which candidates fulfilling the following conditions are eligible to apply:-

The last date of submission of application form will be 27.02.2010. Applications received thereafter will not be entertained.

* Head Constable (Assistant Wireless Operator / Tele-Printer) : 603 posts
Pay Scale : PB-1 Rs.5200-20200 + Grade Pay Rs.2400/-,
Age : 18 to 27 years as on 01/01/201 ,
Qualification : 10+ 2 (Senior Secondary) pass from a recognized Board with Science & Mathematics
OR
(i) NTC in the trade of Mechanic-cum-Operator Electronic Communication System
(ii) Speed in English typing 30 WPM alongwith working knowledge of computers.,

Height - 170 cms (157 cms for Female), Chest - 81-85 cms (male only)

Application Fee : Rs. 100/- in the form of Demand/Bank Draft/ Banker's Cheque in favour of DCP/Recruitment Cell, New Police Lines, Delhi (No fee for SC/STEx.-SM candidates)

i) Applications as per format given in the advertisement/website only will be accepted.
ii) A photograph should be firmly affixed.
iii) A Demand/Bank Draft/Banker's cheque of Rs. 100/- should be attached as fee in favour of DCP/ Recruitment Cell, New Police Lines, Delhi (payable at Delhi) which should be valid for six months.
Duly filled-in application forms alongwith Demand/Bank Draft/Banker's cheque should be sent through ordinary post to “Post Box No. 8020,” and write on the top of the envelope “Application for the post of Assistant Wireless Operator/Tele-Printer Operator (Head Constable)-2010”.

WRITTEN TEST
All candidates, who qualify the physical endurance & measurement tests, shall be put through a written test. The written test will of one and half hour (1˝ ) duration. The question paper shall be of objective type which shall carry 90 marks and will include questions on General Knowledge (20 marks), General Science (25 marks), Mathematics (25 marks) and Reasoning (20 marks). The paper shall be in bilingual i.e. English & Hindi.

TRADE TEST AND TYPING TEST
Five (05) times the number of vacancies in each category i.e. General/OBC/ SC/ST & Ex-Servicemen in their respective category both for departmental candidates and open market category, in order of merit, will qualify for the trade test.
TRADE TEST: The trade test shall be compulsory for candidates to be eligible for appearing in the typing test. This test will be taken in the form of reading and dictation. The dictation, both in Hindi and English languages, will be given to the candidates in groups.
The reading test will require each candidate to read a passage from the given text both in Hindi and English.

TYPING TEST: The candidates who qualify the trade test will be required to appear for a typing test on computer/typewriter in English language which will be compulsory. The typing test shall be of 10 minutes duration and will carry maximum 10 marks. The candidates will be allotted marks according to speed achieved in the typing test.
