QUALIFICATION : Passed B.Sc. Tech ( Leather Technology ) under Calcutta University, India, in the year of 1985 ; Secured the “ First Class 2nd” position, obtaining 68.8 % marks.
EXPERIENCE : December 1985 to April 1987
Worked in the Leather Production field in Tannery,
May 1987 to June 1989
Worked in M/S Bajaj Chemicals ( 79A, Dr. L.M. Bhattacharjee Road ; Kolkata – 70014). M/S Bajaj Chemicals is an Authorized Distributor of M/S BASF India Ltd. for Eastern Region of India. In this organization, my responsibility was to provide Techno-Commercial Services for marketing leather chemicals (beam house chemicals, syntans, fatliquors, and finishing chemicals) of BASF India Ltd. and of BASF A.G. ( imported ) to the customers.
During this period of my services in this organization, I have also rendered Techno-commercial Services to the various customers in neighbour country, Nepal, for promotion and marketing of BASF products.

June 1989 to July 1992
Worked in M/S Quinn India Limited ( a subsidiary of K J Quinn GmbH ), In this organization my responsibility was to provide Techno-Commercial Services for marketing leather finishing chemicals of Quinn India Ltd. as well as finishing chemicals of K J Quinn GmbH, Germany, to the customers in tanneries.
During this period of my services in this organization, the company M/S Quinn India Limited , had a short term collaboration with Fenice S.p.A. Italy. Hence, I had gained adequate experience and product knowledge from working with the range of specialized Italian leather finishing chemicals of Fenice S.p.A. as well as typical Italian Finishing Techniques also.
August 1992 to July 2007
In August 1992, I had joined M/S Colour-Chem Limited( a subsidiary of Hoechst A.G ), where I had rendered Techno-Commercial Services for marketing the entire range of leather chemicals ( beam house products, syntans, fatliquors and finishing chemicals ) of Colour-Chem Limited and as well as marketing of specialized leather finishing chemicals of M/S Earnshaw Ltd, England ( since, from 1998 on word, Colour-Chem Ltd. was the Sole Marketing Agent of Earnshaw Ltd. for India ) for the customers in tanneries and monitoring distributers’ sales.
In an interim stage, by virtue of the merger of Hoechst A.G. with Clariant International Ltd , I have continued my services in the new merged company M/S Clariant Chemicals India Limited and was designed as Manager – Technical Promotion. During this services, my key responsibilities were to render Techno-Commercial Services to the customers in tanneries as well as monitoring the distributers’ sales for overall marketing of entire range of leather chemicals involved from the ranges of merged companies (i.e. Colour-Chem Ltd, Clariant India Ltd, BTP India Ltd, Clariant International, BTP U.K, Earnshaw Ltd. UK ).
During the period of my services in this organization, I used to render techno-commercial services to the customers in tanneries and respective distributor in the neighbour country Bangladesh also.

During the period of my services in this organization, I have undergone special training on Latest International Finishing Techniques and Computerised Colour Matching Systems in Germany.
August 2007 to July 2009
Worked in LANXESS India Pvt Ltd. as Manager – Grade IA. During my services in this organization, I had rendered Techno- commercial services for marketing the entire range of leather chemicals ( beam house products, syntans, fatliquors and finishing chemicals ) of LANXESS India and LANXESS International and as well as marketing of specialized international range of leather Wet end and Finishing chemicals of Rohm & Hass Company.USA.and specialized international range of products from Atlas Refinery, INC.( since, internationally,LANXES had marketing tie up with these two companies ) for the customers in tanneries and handling distributors’ aspects.
During the tenure of my long 22 years services in the field of Technical Marketing and Techno-commercial Services, I have gathered profound technical knowledge and experience on a wide range of Indian as well as International Chemicals ( covering all product groups -beam house products, fatliquors, syntans and finishing chemicals) of a number of internationally reputed companies like BASF, Quinn India, K J Quinn GmbH, Fenice S.p.A, Colour Chem, Earnshaw Ltd. UK, Clariant India, Clariant International, BTP ( Hodgson ) India, BTP-UK, LANXESS India, LANXESS International, Atlas Refinery INC and ROHM and Hass Company- USA.
From all along responsibilities taken in monitoring more than ten strong distributors altogether from such reputed organizations, I have gathered intensive knowledge and experience on typical aspects of handling distributors’ sales, distributor to customer sales and company to customer direct sales.
With this vast knowledge and experience, I feel quite confident of taking challenging jobs in the field of marketing of leather chemicals of reputed organizations.
