Job Description :
Should be in a position to co-ordinate various functions for smooth and effective functioning.

Should be in a position to exercise necessary control in terms of material cost, material consumption and manpower costs.

Should be in a position to plan and control production to meet the deadlines in terms of deliveries. Will be responsible for the quality of garments produced. Whenever necessary shall outsource garments. He will be expected to monitor the production in the outsourced units.

Should have the necessary experience and skill in motivating the production team to achieve the desired result. Background in Formal Shirts necessary.

Experience in start up factory preferred but not essential. 6-7 year experience in Garment Industry.

Handling the entire gamut of Merchandising from Product Development / Sampling stage to the final execution of the shipments in coordination with the sampling ,production,purchase,shipping and Logistics and ensure timely delivery of the merchandise.

Getting the sample made and dispatching the same.Maintain counter samples,swatches and trims,allocation of style nos,photographs,packaging details and costings. Revision of the samples as per buyers comments/suggestions and resending for
Final approval.
Receipt and confirmation of P.O. in terms of price,ship dates,order quantities, Modes of Payment and other details pertaining to the shipping in coordination with the concerned authorities.
Organizing a meeting with the production department for the production call outs with regard to the products on order and apprising the buyers of the same To ensure that the production department calculates the fabric and other requirements per P.O.and gives back in next 24 working hours.
Preparation of BOM (taking into consideration the extra pieces required for testing ,sealing and production rejections)and
handing over the same to the purchase dept.To follow up with
purchase dept. and take the estimated inhouse dates for the all the materials mentioned in the BOM within 48 hrs..
Follow -Up with the buying house / client for the testing & packaging requirements.Making arrangements and follow up for the timely dispatch of the testing samples to the nominated Testing Lab and timely procurement of the packaging materials.
Sending the Lab dips/Bitlooms for clients’ approval and regularly follow up for a quick decision on the same to commence bulk production.
Review the production approval sample with production team and handing over the same for their ready reference.Review of the Time and Action plan regularly and follow up to stick to the same.
Taking everyday status of the ongoing production process and strictly monitoring the quality of the merchandise.To ensure that the goods are correctly packed in terms of labelling ,carton markings and other details as per buyer’s specifications.
Make arrangements for the inline inspection after the completion of first few pieces.
To ensure that once the goods clears inline/initial inspection the production runs in full swing and the Midline and Final inspection takes place as per schedule to avoid any penalty.
