Job Description:
- Assume overall responsibility for the preventive and breakdown maintenance of medical equipment of the hospital and its installation, calibration and testing and updating the reporting authority about the same.
- Oversee the adherence to the preventive maintenance plan and annual maintenance contract.
- Set up work instructions for all activities of the department and ensure their adherence.
- Provide technical Know-how during breakdowns
- Coordinate with the company Engineer to upkeep the Equipments
- Provide technical specification during the pre-post purchase
- Review and consolidate the annual inventory plan and keeping a track of the stores and spare parts.
- Oversee adherence of AMC/CMC/Warranty as per schedule
- Manage and evaluate the need for service contracts and their renewals
- Prepare the annual expense budget for the department
- Contribute to the new vendor development

Description As final year project for the partial fulfillment of the degree BE Biomedical Engineering. Aims to develop a system which will recognize presence of Glaucoma by the changes in the edge of an image of the Human Eye using MATLAB coding.

- Three processing steps are Scaling, Correlation and Conversion.
- Fully Software and can easily identify the concentration of Glaucoma disease.
- Here we will input an image whose edges are identified by means of changes in the Properties of images.
- System returns a binary image of the same size as Image, with 1's where the function finds edges in Image and 0's elsewhere.

This internship provided me with an opportunity of working in a corporate environment and in understanding the functioning of biomedical department in a hospital.

‘Multiparametric Patient Monitoring System Using ZIGBEE with an Emergency Alarm’.
Description :
An effective model that deals with parameters such as ECG, Body and Respiratory temperature, Saline level monitoring, Pulse rate detection etc, using ZIGBEE and helps the doctor to remotely monitor the patient. This reduces the doctors’ work load and gives precise results. The patient is given a patient calling switch, which can be used in case of an emergency. If there are variations in any parameters then the buzzer gets activated and a message is automatically sent to the doctors’ cell phone through the microcontroller.
Professional Experience : Worked as a Biomedical Engineer in this reputed hospital (K.E.M. Hospital), Pune for 10 months (From 04.10.2010 to 03.08.2011). I am having a good experience in handling equipments staring from Humidifiers, Pulse oxy-meters to Ventilators, C- Arms, X-Ray machines etc. Also handled Dept’s like ICU, OT, NICU, PICU, X-Ray, Sonography, COT, Endocrinology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Cytology etc.
