Job Description:
Responsible for software engineering functions as described below:
Coding and Development,
Providing technical leadership
Participate in reviewing functional requirements
Prepare high level and low level design documents
software development activities such as software design, development, unittesting, documentation, integration testing, deployment documentation,
design and code reviews, adherence to software development standards
Ensuring timely project deliveries and completion
Leading software maintenance and support activities including monitoring open bugs, prioritizing maintenance tasks and assigning development resources,
reviewing changes to ensure adherence to software development standards
Allocate accountability among technical staff
Liaise
with professional staff and other managers in various departments such as
QA, IT operations, Systems Engineering, Solutions/Product Management

Desired Candidate Profile:
8+ years of software development experience significant portion of it being in Product development Minimum 4 years of software design and development experience
Ø Expertise in J2EE in J2EE and Webservices , development of high-reliability, high-performance web based software applications
Ø Sound Knowledge of Web-based technology, including: but not limited to HTML, XML, XSP, Java, Web 2.0, Servlets, java-script, HTTP, EJB, Java threads, logging
Ø Excellent knowledge of OOP Programming Techniques, OOAD
Ø Experience in Software as a Service Model (SAAS) environment is highly desirable
Ø UML modeling experience leveraging industry design patterns
Ø Strong verbal and written communication skills to clearly
articulate complex concepts and ideas to all levels of the organization in both technical and non-technical terms
Ø Analytical and conceptual thinking
Ø Ability to work on multiple, concurrent projects in a dynamic
environment (assignment-based organization) and manage time appropriately
Ø Need to be a self-starter , work independently with minimal supervision
Ø Experience in using Agile development methodologies such as SCRUM is desirable
