Job Description:
POSITION SUMMARY (Summary of the scope of responsibilities) Mechanical engineer within Control Technologies engineering team at the India Tech Center in Vadodara, India. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES (
1. Executing the design & engineering activities as per requirements specified by Value center’s Engineering Department. Details of the Job Responsibilities)
2. Performs design tasks as defined by the Control Technologies management team
3. Responsible for the successful design, drafting, modeling, testing, and implementation of mechanical / electro-mechanical devices down to component level and up to system level. The engineer will assist to work with documentation control, vendors, and manufacturing to ensure smooth launching of new products by the team
4. Performs complex dimensional analysis and tolerance stack-ups
5. Provides effective design input in support of new products and variations of existing products
6. Works closely with the US and ITC engineering team to meet goals and deadlines.
7. Capable of performing routine mechanical engineering calculations and analysis
8. Other duties as applicable

Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical engineering) with first class and consistently good academic track record.
1 – 2 years design and development experience.

o Proficiency in 2D/3D CAD preferably in Pro/E ; knowing AutoCAD Inventor would be an added advantage
o Proficiency in engineering analysis tools for finite element analysis and simulation is a plus

To reduce the cost of stainless steels, & due to shortage of sources of Ni, Ni is replaced by Manganese and Nitrogen in Ni free high nitrogen austenitic stainless steels. The mechanical & corrosion properties of this newly developed material are better than conventional AISI 300 series grades. Moreover, absence of Ni in the stainless steels with excellent mechanical & corrosion properties provide this material a potential to be used as biomaterial. The performance of material is checked for the corrosion behavior in different oxidizing environment for uniform as well as localized corrosion. Electrochemical Impedance spectroscopy (EIS) analysis is carried out to evaluate the effect of change in chloride concentrations on the dissolution behavior.
