PAYMENT OF FEES : FROM 01.01.2010 TO 25.01.2010
ONLINE REGISTRATION WILL START FROM 01.01.2010
LAST DATE FOR RECEIPT OF ON-LINE APPLICATIONS : 31.01.2010

Applications are invited from eligible Indian Citizens for appointment as Probationary Officers in Associate Banks of State Bank of India.

Total number of Vacancies : 1717

Essential Academic Qualifications :
60% aggregate marks in class XII or Diploma course after 10th standard AND 55% aggregate marks in Graduation irrespective of Pass Course or Honours Course.

Age Limit:
Not below 21 years and not above 30 years as on 31.01.2010

EMOLUMENTS:
They will draw a starting basic pay of Rs. 10000/-

Probation :
Selected candidates will be on probation for a period of two years.

SC / ST / PWD Rs. 50/- (Postal Charges only)
All others Rs. 500/- (App. fees plus postage charges)

SELECTION PROCEDURE:
Phase-I - Written Examination
Phase-II : Group Discussion & Interview

HOW TO APPLY:
Candidates are required to go to any Branch of State Bank of India and pay the amount of prescribed fees and postage and get receipt from the branch. The receipt should be retained and produced at the time of written test. The candidates are required to apply online through website www.statebankofindia.com or www.sbi.co.in. No other means/ mode of application will be accepted. The last date of registering applications is 31.01.2010. Application registration on our website will be open from 01.01.2010 to 31.01.2010

Duplicate call letter:
Those candidates who do not receive call letters latest by 28/02/2010 should contact in person at the address indicated against examination centre opted by them along with print out of application and original fee receipt. No action is possible if contacted after 04/03/2010. Duplicate call letters will be issued on production of the fee receipt in original and print out of application, provided the application has not been rejected.

As SBI is taking its own exam for the recruitment of the various post acroos the country. so why there should be eligibility criterio in case of educational qualification needed like 60 % above in 12th and in graduation.
if you have trust on your exam and selection criterio than there ashould be no criterio of % for the eligibility.

kindly consider it for the next opening:

either the % criterio should be abolished only graduation is sufficient

and if there is criteria like that than the eligible % either in graduation or p.g.

hi, I got an information AG B.sc final year also can apply for SBI PO posts, and have paid exam fee of RS 500/-.

During online registration I had to provide year of passing of gradutation "2010", which was not available in the year passing drop down list.
Can you please let me know the procedure to get back the money paid. Please send me the details to my mail ID.

sir,
this is sushant pawar, an engineering graduate from mumbai university.
PO post is open for all streams from Bcom to engineering.
according to your criteria to get qualify candidate should have 60% aggregate marks in graduation.
I think it is biased condition for engineers. getting 60% aggregate in engineering is not simple as in case of some other streams. and to get 60% we have to maintain 60% in all 8 semester which is very difficult.
I would request you behalf of all engineers to remove word "aggregate" and consider only last year's total percentage.
