Major Projects Developed
Project 1 : Quinone-piperazine-choleseterol based conjugate:
We have developed a method for the synthesis of quinine-piperzine-cholesterol based conjugate for anticancer activity. This project is still in the way some compounds still have to be synthesized.
Project 2 : Synthesis of novel biologically active compounds with covalently bound carbohydrates through a PEG-linker attached by way of an activated ester
We cross-linked carbohydrates with activated esters, through a PEG linker with different functionalities and varied chain lengths. Our goal will be to see the dependency of biological activity on the functionalities and on the variable length of the PEG-linkers
Project 4 : Synthesis of novel potentially biologically active compounds with covalently bound lipids and carbohydrate through a triazine linker
- Applying multistep process we have synthesized different alkyne sugar derivatives
- Applying multistep process we have synthesiszed cholesterol-azide derivaes
