Responsibilities :
v Designing of the electrical services.
vInvolved in preparing the layouts of lighting, power, telecommunication, public address system, fire alarm and security.
vDrawing single line diagrams.
v Preparing BOQ.
v Involved in cost estimation of the item.
Software used : AutoCAD R –14, 2000 & 2002, 2005 & 2006, MS-Office.
NATURE OF JOB:
·Preparing calculation sheets for lighting, cable tray and cable calculations for various buildings to execute the project according to client requirement.
·Producing Designing and Execution drawings as above-mentioned various services for Electrical by using calculation and client input data sheet/tender drawing.
·Preparing Electrical schematic drawings.
·Analyzing the problems that arise during the production and getting the solutions from the client.
·Co-ordination among production team, as well as other trades.
·Preparation of Bill of Quantity (BOQ).
PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
·All distribution/switch boards are connected to LVGB or main panel. Short circuit current, voltage drop and related notes are shown on main panel board.
·All type of loads collected from concern department like lighting, socket, HVAC, kitchen, and plumbing. According to load, main switch, circuit breakers, calculation notes are decided, for distribution panel.
Earthing Layout: In IEC Standard we are following some calculation cable material (copper), thickness (50mm²), distance from the building (1 mtr), distance between grounding and crow’s foot to crow’s foot (20 mtrs). Each building shall be surrounded by a non-insulated copper cable of 50mm², laid at the bottom of a trench. The resistance of each circuit shall be maximum one Ohm. Final end of conductor is connected to the bus bar of panel board.
·According to lighting load calculation sheet, we decided location of each type of lighting fixtures and its controlling points in each room. All circuit numbers are decided for lighting, socket, power layout, and other trade loads are shown on drawing. All loads considered to design distribution panel and general panel. According to conduit installation all fixtures carried to this service.
·Cable tray: We follow cable length, width from the standard table, details of different cable supporting, taken care for bending angles. Standard software used to find out cable tray width according to number of circuit or homerun to create this service. This layout data consists cable tray width, Invert level, type materiel. Ex. Type of cable trays CT, CTG, and CTGC (sizes CT1=123, CT2=220, CT3=316 CT4=436 and CT5=508mm), we developed execution drawings according to calculation sheets.
·Electronic & Electrical – 2 dimensional drawing of Distribution Transformers up to 500 KVA, Generator, sub - Station Panel board drawing & schematic diagram.
·Conduit Installation: In IEC Standard provides routing of conduit to pass cable to connect different fixtures for all floors, it may be concealed or surface mounted. We are normally considered routing of conduit embedded in the floor and wall. Also showing location of sockets, switches, and power devices, and earthing connections according technically.
·Lightning protection: Buildings shall be protected against lightning in accordance with Standards. This service is using for safety purpose against lightning. We are creating this system using by simple calculation, like mesh connection, bonding to each equipment (HVACs, plumbing) to protect. Flat copper bare conductor (30x2mm size) is used around on the parapet. The down conductor is connected to crow’s foot according to earthing system.
·Divisional (TD) and General Panel Board (LVGB): All type of loads is collected from concern department like lighting, socket, HVAC, kitchen, and plumbing. According to load, main switch, circuit breakers, calculation notes are decided. All distribution/switch boards are connected to LVGB or main panel. Short circuit current, voltage drop and related notes are shown on main panel board.
