Description
The Oceanographer performs all office and field related Oceanographic survey assignments as defined by the Project or Operations Manager or Party Chief. His primary responsibilities will include:
[LIST][*]Assist Party Chief with the execution of given work and tasks.[*]Organise own work in given cases.(Installation , Deployment , Recovery of Oceanographic Instruments)[*]Execute given work in accordance with specifications, procedures and work practices.[*]Assist and if applicable processes data, carries out computations and compiles Oceanographic reports in given company format.[*]On occasions is expected to liaise directly with client.[*]Actively participate in implementation of QA procedures in the field environment.[/LIST]
Requirements
[LIST][*]M.Sc Oceanography or M.Tech in Ocean Engineering with 2 years of experience in Offshore Oceanographic work.[*]Conversant with computer operation and a basic knowledge of application software.[*]English language.[/LIST]
