NOTIFICATION
APPLICATIONS ARE INVITED FROM MERITORIOUS SPORTSPERSONS IN THE
DISCIPLINES OF VOLLEYBALL (04), BASKETBALL (02), CRICKET (01),
ATHLETICS (02), BADMINTON (01), LAWN TENNIS (01), TABLE TENNIS (01), AIR RIFLE / PISTOL SHOOTING (01) AND FOOTBALL (01) FOR APPOINTMENT IN THE CADRES OF TAX ASSISTANT (13 POSTS) AND STENOGRAPHER GRADE-III (01 POST) BOTH IN THE PAY SCALE OF Rs.5200-20200 + GRADE PAY Rs.2400 AS PER CCS (REVISED PAY) RULES, 2008 IN THE CUSTOMS, CENTRAL EXCISE & SERVICE TAX DEPARTMENT, HYDERABAD & VIZAG ZONES.

The following categories of sportspersons will be considered as meritorious and will be eligible for appointment subject to fulfillment of other conditions laid down below:
(I) Sportspersons who have represented -
(i) A state or the country in a national or international competition.
(ii) Their universities in the inter-university tournaments conducted by the inter-university Sports Board.
(iii) The State school teams in the national sports/games for schools conducted by the All India School Games Federation.
(II) Awardees of National Awards in physical efficiency under the national physical efficiency drive.

Qualifications:
Minimum educational qualification of Graduation in any discipline

Age : 20-27 years

Probation Period: 2 years.

LAST DATE:
The last date for receipt of applications in this office is one month from the date of publication of the Notification in the “Employment News”

Tests :
The candidates will have to appear in the practical / field tests relevant to sports discipline. All eligible sports persons may be called for a written test on the pattern similar to the exams conducted by the Staff Selection Commission for Tax Assistant and Stenographer Grade-III posts.
