Job Description
DB2 DBA experience of 2-4 years for designing DB2 databases and conversion from IDMS2.
Should have COBOL, JCL & VSAM experience too.
DB2 Database Administration
Creation and Administration of Storage Groups, Data Bases and Table Spaces.
Controlling access to DB2 Objects
Planning of Backup and Recovery of Table Spaces
Running DB2 Utilities like Load, Unload, Re-org, Repair, Rebuild.
Removing pending status by running DB2 Utilities.
Granting table, index creation and Bind Privileges
Granting and Revoking privileges to users
Increasing the DB2 tables space and index space size.
Creating Plan & packages and Granting BIND, EXECUTE PLAN Access.
Re-organizing Table Spaces.
Loading Table spaces.
Collecting Statistics using Runstats
Resetting Pending status using Check data Utility.
Tuning Databases.
Active log and Archive log datasets maintenance.
Technical Support for Application Development Team

Desired Candidate Profile
BE/MCA/MCs/Any graduate with minimum DB2 DBA experience of 2-4 years for designing DB2 databases and conversion from IDMS2.
Should have COBOL, JCL & VSAM experience too.
