Our structural civil engineering department is currently working on building projects in the Netherlands and India. Our design team specializes in reinforced concrete and precast concrete building structures. Recently we have started with precast concrete design for the Indian market.

Job description
As a senior structural engineer you are responsible for the analysis and design of buildings structures located in the Netherlands and India. As a senior you are expected to raise the level of technical competence of the structural engineering team.

Duties in this position include:
- Leading a team of engineers to carry out structural analysis and design of buildings in reinforced concrete, steel and precast concrete as per Indian or Netherlands design codes.
- Modeling and analysis of building structures using the latest design software.
- Coordinate and collaborate with clients in terms of design and engineering.
- Assist in training and development of junior members of the design team.

Desired candidate profile
- B-tech or M-tech in civil / structural engineering.
- Proven experience in design of building structures according to IS codes.
- Strong knowledge of reinforced concrete design.
- Experience in seismic design of building structures.
- Experience with structural design software such as RAM, CSC, Etabs, Robot and Staad.
- A sound understanding of Microsoft Excel spreadsheet calculations.
- Exposure working on international building projects is preferred.
- Excellent use of English language for written and verbal communications.
- Pro active, ambitious and career driven.
- Able to lead a team of structural engineers and draughtsman.
- Knowledge and experience in structural design according to Eurocode is preferred.
- Knowledge and experience in precast concrete design is preferred.

Job description

As head of the structural design department you are responsible for managing a group of draughtsman and engineers. This will be a split role encompassing HR responsibilities and project management.
Duties in this position include:
- Supervise and plan the day to day work of the department in an efficient manner.
- Lead the department in developing and maintaining standards.
- Communicate with Netherland’s office regarding planning and status of projects.
- Produce and check CAD drawings in 2D and 3D.
- Participate in project meetings and provide technical support.
- Control project budget.
- Office procedures – increase proficiency and general discipline.
- Staff appraisals and coaching.
- HR responsibilities, time sheet management, absence management, holiday & sickness, disciplinary and grievance.

Desired candidate profile

- Diploma or degree in civil / structural engineering.
- Proven experience as manager leading a structural engineering team.
- Strong knowledge of drafting processes and procedures.
- Experience preparing 2D and 3D structural drawings using structural steel, reinforced concrete and precast concrete.
