Project summary : In this project I synthesized 4 different types of amides by acid and amine coupling. Then I synthesized 3 different Sulphonamides by amine and sulphonyl chloride coupling and 3 different urea derivatives by amine and isocyanate coupling. Here I used different instruments like Orbital shaker, Rotavapour, column chromatography. Here the characterization of the products has been done through NMR and Mass Spectroscopy, by this I have got a chance to know something about the instrumentation. This whole project has given me the confidence to handle moisture sensitive reactions.

Dissertation :
Title : Synthesis and Applications of Azo dyes.
Dissertation Summary : The review of literature is concerned about synthesis of azo dyes by diazotization and applications of azo dye in different fields like textile, tattooing, hair coloring. And also here we studied different types of azo dyes.

I was also responsible for training and implementation of safety systems and HAZOP studies in the location.
In Orchid Chemicals and Pharmaceuticals Limited, Chennai, India (from Jan’05 to Sept‘07), as Manager-Technology Transfer, Technology Transfer of new drugs and chemicals including scale up and production of exhibit batches, custom synthesis for MNC customers in the USFDA approved API units at different locations for Drug Master File and commercial production for regulatory market.
