The India Cements Ltd was established in 1946 and the first plant was setup at Sankarnagar in Tamilnadu in 1949 . Since then it has grown in stature to seven plants spread over Tamilnadu and Andhra Pradesh . The capacities as on March 2002 have increased multifold to 9 million tons per annum.


THE INDIA CEMENTS LIMITED,established in the year 1946 manufactures cement, a core material in the construction industry. Since inception, making a humble beginning it has grown to a multidivisional company with seven plants of overall capacity of 9 million tonnes per annum and with a trun over of Rs.2000 crores. It is the largest manufacturer of cement in south India.
