Market availability of equipments.
Difference in the Features of products of different vendors.
Trouble shooting/Site experience

Desired:

Knowledge of tankages including cryogenic storages
Mounded bullet design/sphere design
FE Analysis
Exposure to fabrication/shop related design and manufacturing aspects
Knowledge of special requirements for various process units of refinery/petrochemicals/gas plants.
Experience with the known process licensors like Axens, UOP, Chevron, FW etc.
