Job Vacancy for Senior Design Engineer

Job Description
Responsible for delivering efficiently engineered products using best-in-class Design/CAD tools. Needs good communication skills.

Essential duties and responsibilities:
* Establish technology leadership in the area of New Product Design, Product Improvement and Value Engineering by creating/developing products that best meet customer requirements.
* To carry out first level design checks using engineering fundamentals.
* Effectively use computer-aided design for detailed design, generating parts lists and specifications.
* Confer with engineering and R&D departments, or with customers, to establish and evaluate design concepts for manufactured products.
* Present designs and reports to customers or design committees for approval, and discuss need for modification.
* Research production specifications, costs, production materials and manufacturing methods, and wherever feasible provide cost estimates and itemized production requirements.
* Investigate product characteristics such as the product's safety and handling qualities, its market appeal, how efficiently it can be produced, and ways of distributing, using and maintaining it.
* Must be able to standardize/ value engineer current products/ designs.
* Participate in new product planning or market research, including studying the potential need for new products.
* Ability to assist the manager in handling multiple programs and projects simultaneously and deliver projects under budget and on time.
* Deal with customers, suppliers and team members with maturity and performance orientation.

Desired Profile
We are looking for Design Engineers with a passion to work within a growing industry and who want to be part of our growing team.
To explore this career opportunity, you should

* be a Bachelors in Mechanical, Civil, Automotive or Structural engineering with good academic background. Master’s preferred.
* have expertise in ProEngineer; exposure to other CAD software ( SolidWorks/Unigraphics/Catia/etc.) will be a plus
* be skilled at using Microsoft tools (Office: PowerPoint, Excel, Word and others as required)
* have at least 3 years of relevant experience
* creativity and innovation
* attention to detail
* ability to select functional and economic material
* understanding of a range of technologies and engineering drawings
* have good communication skill with ability to communicate effectively in a multi-cultural, multi-national environment
* have strong fundamental skills in structural and machine design
* be willing to work in our offices in Pune
* Must be willing to travel and stay outside the country per project requirement.
