Job details overview
- Should have sound understanding of statistical techniques like logistic/linear regression, structural equations modeling, chi square tests etc
- Experience in one of the platforms – SAS, SPSS,R
- Experience in customer scoring models for churn modeling or cross sell modeling or campaign response modeling or LTV modeling
- Experience in using clustering as a technique
- Awareness of Ensemble models / text mining would be nice to have but not mandatory

Role Details
- Identify specific statistical techniques which can be used to run the modeling process
- Ability to identify multiple statistical techniques which can be applied to model the data
- Ability to explain the pros and cons of each statistical technique and zero in on the right
- Ability to specify statistical coefficients (pearsons coefficient, degrees of freedom etc ) to measure and the thresholds for each coefficient and its significance
- Own the analytical blueprint document
- Jointly work with the business analyst in Interpreting data patterns and output of analytical model in the context of the business process
- Direct a team of junior members in executing the statistical models
- Be part of team doing work on text mining and in database mining
- 85 % project oriented and 15 % statistical framework building / re-usable code
