Job Description:
This administrator position running reports, entering data, pulling reference data
a. Could manage some reference data like checking for and loading new ship points weekly (take a weekly download from client, pull it into a database, run comparison queries, upload new ones into the TMS, etc.)
b. Could learn the application enough to do some application configuration requested by a knowledgeable user (i.e. set up some notifications, edit a rule set). There is a lot of more application-centric configuration that an application-focused person could take over.
c. Be able, with training, to “keep an eye on”
i. The optimizer to make sure we have a good set of loads for the planner to review each morning (initially wake supervisor in up if there is a problem and grow into the ability to trouble shoot the optimizer)
ii. The normal integrations like the order uploads and/or carrier status messages. Basically there will be a pattern of normal integration uploads and even with notifications set to let us know if something fails it is good to have someone check after the primary uploads typically occur to know they happened.
d. Be able to take what should be very rare operational calls and alert his supervisor, or whomever
