Job Description:
You will primarily be responsible for managing a team of web production and online marketing executives with the aim of providing dedicated marketing and production capabilities to key strategic products in Progressive Media’s portfolio of sites. You will work under the general supervision of the Group Head of Business Development with considerable freedom to plan, schedule, specify and execute overall departmental strategy and carry out responsibilities within established policies and guidelines.

Desired Candidate Profile:
Qualification/Experience required:
• Minimum 6-10 years experience in web or interactive marketing (internet/online marketing) for B2B products is essential.
• Minimum 5+ years managing a team.
• Technical experience of internet marketing is a necessity.
• Proven experience tracking the success of online campaigns and developing new creative concepts.
• Proven experience with successful Search Engine Marketing (SEM) and Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) campaigns.
• Experience using Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash or similar graphical design packages are desired.
• Ability to hand code in XHTML, JavaScript and ActionScript is desired.
• Experience managing the creation of email templates, flash, gif and JPG banners.
• Software skills in one or more of the following: Dreamweaver, HomeSite, etc.
• In-depth knowledge of the Internet and business software (Microsoft Office) as well as Internet procedures is essential including:
o Knowledge of Internet marketing best practices, ethics and legislation.
o Developing keyword lists and optimising performance through ad-copy and landing page tests.
o Google AdWords and/or Yahoo! Search marketing platforms.
• Experience working with WebTrends or similar web analytics software and tools such as Google Analytics.
• Experience with search engine keywords and analytical tools. Familiarity with the functioning of algorithmic search engines.
• Access and Web analytics proficiency preferred. Some SQL knowledge a plus.

Key Responsibilities
• Head the online marketing and production team and manage day-to-day operations of the department.
• Work closely with the Group Head of Business Development in defining the ongoing strategy for the department.
• Develop, manage and report on all online promotional and web production strategies undertaken by the online marketing and production team.
• Define and oversee the transfer of web production over to a newly created team in India which includes but is not limited to banner design, landing page creation, email templates and input of content /images into the CMS using XHTML.
• Take ownership of all recruitment needs for the team.
• Project management for all projects and initiatives undertaken by the team.
• Undertake all management tasks associated with your direct report(s).
• Other duties as assigned.
