Job Description:
*Review the Plant Corrosion Management System and prepare comprehensive inspection programs.
*Ensure that all inspection data is current and correct. Carry out analysis of corrosion mechanisms and failures found and maintain comprehensive inspection records.
* Assist in developing and implementing ongoing measures to identify and mitigate corrosion.
*Analyze inspection data and determine trends in order to prescribe future inspection programmes.
*Familiarisation with Risk Base software. Identify corrosion mechanisms and failure modes based on process flow diagrams, isometric drawings and operational data, with a view to the re-circuitisation of existing piping systems into corrosion circuits.
*This also includes identifying locations for inspection and the marking of corrosion monitoring locations.
*Review and audit all records, standards, procedures and database programs pertaining to the Reliability Support Group.
*Prepare shutdown inspection/repair work scopes for maintenance and participate in planning meetings.
*Review, mark-up and approval of prefabrication and construction contractors Inspection & Test Plans and quality related documents, including inspection data sheets etc.
*Ensure all asset and design integrity controls are being complied with, including assistance in the resolution of Contractor/Vendor concessions and technical queries.
*Application of the requirements of codes and standards covering correctness of parent material, welding consumables, dimensions, fit up and weld preparations, including any pre/post weld heat treatment and the application of PMI when required. The identification and inspection of completed welds and the examination of completed items for dimensional accuracy, against specification requirements and drawings. Interpretation of weld radiographs and the maintenance of comprehensive inspection records .
*Carry out technical audits on contractors submitting an application to be included on the company list of approved contractors.
Desired Candidate Profile:
*Degree in Mechanical or Metallurgy or equivalent. Advanced NDT methods are desirable.
* Be qualified to PCN or CSWIP Level 2 in the four basic NDT methods, namely Ultrasonics, Radiography (including Radiographic Interpretation), Magnetic Particle Inspection and Dye Penetrant Inspection.

Monitor ambient conditions, surface temperature, and air quality requirements
Inspection of blasting equipment and tools to be used
Inspection of type and size of blasting media
Inspection of metal surface imperfections / defects
Testing of oil or water in compressed air
Testing of water-soluble ionic contamination of blasting media
Inspection of pre-cleaning or solvent cleaning of surface
Inspection of compressed air pressure
Inspection of degree of cleanliness required
Measure surface profile of blast cleaned surface
