(Reservation for PH : JTTE - HH (PD) - 1, Reservation for Ex-servicemen as per Government of India Directives). The Written Examination will be held at Hyderabad tentatively on 24th January, 2010

Maximum Age Limit as on 07.11.2009 :
27 years. Relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), 10 years for PH-General, 15 years for PH-SC/ST and 13 years for PH-OBC (NCL). Ex-Servicemen having a minimum of 6 months continuous service is allowed age relaxation to the extent of the period spent in service plus 3 years subject to the condition that the resultant age after deducting his period of service from his actual age does not exceed the prescribed age limit by more than three years. Candidates whose age is less than 18 years as on 07.11.2009 need not apply.

TRAINING, SERVICE BOND AND EMOLUMENTS :
Selected candidates will undergo training for a period of one year at POWERGRID sites and Training Institutes. The JSHT-Gen Candidates are required to execute bond of Rs.50,000/- and SC candidates for Rs.25,000/- and the JTTE-GEN/OBC candidates for Rs.25,000/- and SC/ST candidates for Rs.12,000/- to successfully complete the prescribed training period and thereafter serve the organisation for at least three years.

1. CONCESSION/RELAXATION :
a. SC/ST/PH/Ex-SM Candidates are exempted from application fee.
b. For SC/ST/PH candidates : Reimbursement of Second Class rail/bus fare by the shortest route for to and fro travel for the purpose of appearing in test,
on production of railway ticket/number/bus ticket for onward journey and SC/ST/PH certificate is admissible, restricted to distance between the address
for communication and the nearest test centre.

2. GENERAL CONDITIONS :
a. Candidates claiming reservation should submit an attested copy of certificate in proof of Caste/PH/Ex-SM, issued by a Competent Authority in the
prescribed GOI format along with the application.
b. Candidates working in Govt./Semi Govt./PSE should apply through proper channel or produce NOC at the time of Interview.
c. POWERGRID reserves the right to modify/cancel the vacancy/the notification/the selection process at its discretion.
d. Application not in conformity with the requirements mentioned/not in given proforma/incomplete/illegible/unsigned/without self attested photograph/
without Caste/PH/Ex-SM Certificate or received after the closing date will be rejected. Candidates whose final year's results not declared need not apply.
e. Copies of Certificates like qualification, caste etc. should be attested by Gazetted Officer/the Principal of the last College/Institute attended by the
SR/PR/Rectt/Advt/14/09/MOULIS candidate.

3. HOW TO APPLY :
Interested candidates should send their application indicating, post Applied for, Name, Category, Father's Name, Address for Communication, Sex, Date of
Birth, Qualification, Additional Qualifications if any, Year of Pass, Name of Institute/Board, Percentage of Marks, Bank Draft No., Amount, Date with the
signature of the candidate on A4 size paper with a recent photograph affixed in the right top corner along-with a non-refundable application fee of Rs. 100/-
for JSHT and Rs. 50/- for JTTE in the form of Crossed Bank Draft favouring “POWER GRID CORPORATION OF INDIA LIMITED“ PAYABLE AT
SECUNDERABAD. SC/ST/PH/Ex-SM candidates are exempted from payment of application fee. The Candidates can also download the application form

MAIN PROJECT : Simulation of Bilateral Contracts in an AGC System After Restructuring.
DESCRIPTION : Restructuring means Privatization of Power.For restructuring three companies are needed namely DISCOM,TRANSCOM and GENCOM.In this a contract is done by a Disco company with a Genco company to generate the contracted amount of power. Contract is done with the help of DPM(disco participation matrix) under the aucillary service of AGC(automatic generation control).
USING : MATLAB.
CONCLUSION : The end consumer will receive power to a lower price than ever. The reliability and continuity of power wil be more efficient.
