Design Lighting Systems Opening with Product MNC in Bangalore

Skill Requirements - Should have experience in optical system design for exterior automotive lighting components (headlamp, tail lamps, etc.)
- Should understand operating principles of reflectors and lenses
- Should have comprehensive knowledge of a photometric ray-tracing software (SPEOS, etc.)
- Should be able to interpret light distributions
- Should be confident with photometric ECE / SAE regulation requirements
- Should be used to take into account multi-disciplinary inputs (construction, thermal, electronic) to reach photometric targets
- Should have experience dealing with LEDs and incandescent bulbs
- Experience of working with subcontractors
- Experience in CAD with CATIA V5 is required
- Experience in design of plastic parts, understanding of manufacturing process
- Experience in development process of automotive components
- International experience is added advantage
- Knowledge of German language is a strong added value

Job Responsibilities
- Design lighting systems for cars
- Ensure manufacturability of proposed design
- Design to cost
- Detailing of selected design concepts, surfacing
- Ensure communication with business partners

Education
- Graduate or Post graduate in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent

Experience
- 5 to 8 years of experience in Design of Lighting systems
