PRODUCTS AND SERVICES
The Company operates in various business segments through Strategic Business Units [SBUs] and Joint Venture Companies [JVCs]. It is the market leader in Steel Barrel, Industrial Greases & Speciality Lubricants, Travel and Logistics services. It also has significant presence in most of the other businesses it operates, namely, Leather Chemicals, Logistics Infrastructure, Refinery & Oil Field Services [ROFS], etc.
OPENING
SBU Leather Chemicals of the Company is amongst the market leaders in India in leather chemicals particularly in fat liquors and syntans, supported by strong technological and R&D capabilities. The Company has initiated projects to further enhance its range of product and service offerings to the leather industry including Finishing Chemicals as also to enter into
other performance chemicals such as construction chemicals. Towards this objective, the Company wishes to strengthen its technical resources, at senior levels.
The job opening exists for one position in SBU Leather Chemicals in its manufacturing facility at Manali near Chennai.
JOB PROFILE
The selected candidate will have the responsibility to steer the technological up-gradation of production facilities and systems including scale up of products and processes developed by the
Company’s own R&D wing and/or outsourced from other R&D institutions/technology providers. Further, the major roles would be to:
1. Identify new technologies for the SBU.
2. Identify, evaluate suppliers of new technology and carry out cost & benefit analysis, ROI assessment for prospective technology shifts.
3. Plan and execute technology up-gradation projects within cost parameters.
4. Coordinate with technology partners, research partners and internal R&D teams.
5. Lead a team of qualified professionals towards achievement of organisation’s goals.
PERSON PROFILE
[a] Age
Below 48 years as on the date of notification. This may be relaxed in case of candidates with longer years of experience. Relaxation as per Government of India directives applies to SC/ST/OBC/PH candidates.
[b] Qualification
The applicant should be a Graduate with specialisation in Chemical Engineering. Those possessing a Post Graduate Degree/Diploma in Management will be given preference.
[c] Experience
The prospective candidate should have around 15 years of working experience in the relevant discipline. The incumbent is expected to have result orientation, a pleasing personality and good communication skills.
COMPENSATION
Selected candidate will be placed in the Pay Scale of Rs. 36600-62000. Other allowances and perquisites will be as per Company Rules. The annual CTC would be in the range of Rs. 12.1 to 19.4 Lakhs, depending on qualification/experience of the selected candidate.
RESERVATION
The Government of India directives with regard to reservations of SC / ST / OBC / Physically Handicapped shall apply. Candidates belonging to this category should specifically mention the same in their applications. 5 years relaxation in maximum age prescribed is applicable in case of SC / ST / OBC and Physically Handicapped candidates as per Government of India Directives.
Candidates belonging to OBC category seeking the benefit of reservation should produce certificate from Revenue Officer not below the rank of Tehsildar, certifying that they do not belong to the creamy layer.
OTHER INFORMATION
[a] Depending on qualification and experience, selected candidates will be fitted in the appropriate scale of pay in the grade, as per rules of the Company.
[b] Outstation candidates called for interview will be reimbursed travel expenses as per the rules of the Company.
[c] The Company may relax age in the case of exceptionally qualified / experienced candidates.
[d] In the event of non-availability of candidates with suitable qualification and experience, the Company reserves the right to offer position in appropriate lower grade.

Job opening exists for one position in the area of Business Development relating to various service offerings to Refineries & Oil Fields.
JOB PROFILE
The selected candidate will have the responsibility to carry out the Marketing activities on all India basis. The incumbent will be responsible for achieving the budgeted sales targets in terms of quantity, revenue & profit. The incumbent in addition would focus on identifying and exploring new opportunities in Refineries & Oil Field Services.
Further, the major roles would be to:
1. Achieve budgeted targets in terms of achieving sales volumes, increasing in market share, enhancing profitability and meeting collection targets.
2.Building the customer base through independent cold calling and client presentations.
3.Ensuring time bound implementation of marketing activities; preparing offer/ estimation against various tenders.
4.Identify, evaluate potential and facilitate engagement of new marketing associates in various zones. Co-ordinate with existing marketing associates for developing new markets/ clients across the country and outside as the need may be.
5.To carry out risk assessment & develop marketing strategies.
6.Effectively track competitors’ activities at the market place, ideate on developing countering strategies and execute approved plans effectively.
7.Plan & explore possibilities to enhance revenues through better market reach.
PERSON PROFILE
[a]Age

[b]Qualification
The applicant should be an Engineering Graduate, preferably with specialisation in Mechanical/ Chemical Engineering having Post Graduate Degree/Diploma in Marketing Management.
[c]Experience
The prospective candidate should have minimum 6 years of working experience for Deputy Manager and 3 years for Assistant Manager in the relevant discipline, i.e. Business Development in B2B market for high value technical services/ products. In-
depth understanding of Refinery operations will be an added advantage and a track record of delivering high sales growth will be an added advantage. The incumbent is expected to have result orientation, a pleasing personality and good communication skills.
COMPENSATION
Selected candidate will be placed in the Pay Scale of Rs. 24900-50500 / 20600-46500. Other allowances and perquisites will be as per Company Rules. The annual CTC would be in the range of Rs.8.3 to Rs. 15.3 Lakhs / Rs. 7.1 to Rs. 14.1 Lakhs, depending on qualification/experience of the selected candidate.
