POSITION SUMMARY (Broad overview of responsibility)
- The incumbent should have adequate knowledge of site activities of systems/sub-systems related to the construction / erection / pre-commissioning of mechanical equipment and systems of a gas based combined cycle power project (CCPP). He will ensure work completion as per schedule and within budgeted cost for the systems/sub-systems assigned to him.
- He will be responsible for planning, executing, supervising of site activities, co-ordination with various disciplines, contractors / sub-contractors at site. - He will be coordinating with project department at H.O. at Baroda & with customers at site for timely installation & pre-commissioning of systems/subsystems assigned to him. He will report to site-in-charge. - He should be fully familiar with intricacies involved in site work of combined cycle power project (CCPP) of 300 MW and above and should have worked at site for at least 1 project of similar size. - He will be posted at different project sites as per project requirements.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES (List of specific responsibilities)
- Erection, pre-commissioning, planning, monitoring & controlling all site activities including manpower planning, resource planning & material planning for the systems/sub systems assigned to him by the Site-in-charge.
- Ensuring all site activities are carried out as per SOPs (standard operating procedures), as per ISO 9000, ISO 14001, ISO 18000 (OSHAS), Project specification
- He shall continuously monitor the work progress of his task as per the approved construction/erection schedule, delay analysis and prepare catch-up plan, if required.
- Coordinating & supervision of work of various contractors / sub-contractors associated with his scope of work.
- Continuously thriving for development of alternative construction processes, contingency plan, augmenting additional resources for expediting the progress.
- Attending site coordination meeting as required with Customer, Project management Consultant (PMC) for resolving problems associated with his area of work
- Periodic MIS reporting of site progress of his area of work.
- Coordination with site store for management of various materials associated with his area of work.
- Build Customer relationship at site and sort out any disputes (technical or commercial) at site.
- Responsible for Project Cost control and analysis for site activities for which he is associated
- Control on site activities for erection progress and resolving site discrepancy reports with engineering. Coordinating with Procurement department for shortage/ damage report for his area of work.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED
(Minimum formal academic requirements; amount and type of job-related experience; special skills and competencies)
- Good academic and professional track record
- BE in Mechanical Engineering from a reputed institute.
- 10 - 12 years of post qualification field experience in construction & erection activities
- Execution, planning and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in construction /erection and pre-commissioning work at site out of which experience of similar work in at least 1 large size Gas based Power project of 300MW & above.
