Conclusion :
In this thesis a stepper motor is designed to control the speed and direction of the motor using PIC microcontroller. We are designing this because Computer-controlled stepper motors are one of the most versatile forms of positioning systems.
Advantages :
Fully micro controlled based so easy to understand, very few components are required, and circuit become compact.
2. Simulink Model for Economic Analysis and Environmental Impacts of a PV With Diesel-Battery System for Remote Villages :
Objective :
To provide electricity at the cheaper price in the remote locations
Environment : MATLAB 2007 Software
Conclusion :
The economic analysis and environmental impacts of integrating a photovoltaic (PV) array into diesel-electric power systems for remote villages, in which the cost of electricity supplied is reduced with the help of the different combinations of PV cells with diesel battery system and its corresponding environmental benefits are studied.
Future scope:
Based on climatic conditions of the location wind mill can also be used as one of the sources in order to improve the reliability, therefore not being completely dependent on PV cells.

Main Project Title : THE DESIGN AND EVALUATION OF A SELF ORGANIZING
SUPER PEER NETWORK (SOSPNET)
Platform : JAVA
Team Size : 3
Description : Superpeer architectures exploit the heterogeneity of nodes in a peer-to-peer (P2P) network by assigning additional responsibilities to higher capacity nodes. In the design of a superpeer network for file sharing, several issues have to be addressed. A self-organizing superpeer network architecture (SOSPNET) that solves these issues in a fully decentralized manner. SOSPNET maintains a superpeer network topology that reflects the semantic similarity of peers sharing content interests. Superpeers maintain semantic caches of pointers to files, which are requested by peers with similar interests. Client peers, on the other hand, dynamically select superpeers offering the best search performance. This shows how this simple approach can be employed not only to optimize searching, but also to solve generally difficult problems encountered in P2P architectures such as load balancing and fault tolerance. Furthermore it also demonstrates that a new peer that joins the system can very quickly find a set of superpeers that guarantees the highest performance. Finally, it shown that our system is robust to catastrophic failures and it supports superpeers with heterogeneous capacities by controlling the amounts of load delegated to individual superpeers.
Mini Project Title : SMART CITY
Platform : JAVA
Team Size : 3
Description : Smart city provides information to people who are desirous to give a web based platform to city to be showcased for all it has in terms of unique business, places to see, things to do, use local transport for a new traveller. This service is widely available and affordable to all, including developed and underdeveloped areas. These services exist in areas such as health, education, business, tourism, history, social, political and economy. Communities are connected to each other through integrated service architecture. A platform for innovation is in place that promotes the development of new applications and services.
