Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force invites applications for recruitment of the post of Head Constables (CM) and Mahila Constables (GD)

GOVT. OF INDIA RECRUITMENT FOR THE POST OF MAHILA CONSTABLE/ (GD)

1. Applications are invited from Female Indian citizens, resident of the following States for filling up of vacancies for the year 2009 on temporary basis likely to be permanent, shown against each State for the post of Mahila Constable (General Duty) Group C in the Indo Tibetan Border Police Force.
The post has all India liability and selected candidates can be posted anywhere in India and even abroad. On appointment, the candidate shall be governed by the ITBPF Act and Rules.
The last date of receipt of application is 14/12/2009 for all States except for Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland, Tripura, Sikkim, Ladakh Division of Jammu and Kashmir State, Lahaul-Spiti District and Pangi Sub-Division of Chamba District of HP, Andaman & Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep for which last date is 21/12/2009.

2. PAY SCALE - Rs. 5200 – 20200 + Grade Pay Rs. 2,000/- per month.

3. A candidate appearing for the test should mention/intimate if any criminal case(s) is/are pending/lodged against him in any police station/Hon'ble court.

5. ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS:
(i) AGE: – Between 18 to 23 Years (Cut off date for determining age will be 01 August 2009).

(ii) EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION: – Matriculation or 10th Class pass from a recognized Board/ University/National Open School (National Institute of Open School).

(iii) PHYSICAL STANDARD
Height : 157 cms
Weight : Proportionate to height and age as per medical standard

(iv) Medical Standards:-
(a) Eye Sight: The minimum distant vision should be 6/6 and 6/9 of 2 eyes without correction i.e. without wearing of glasses.
(b) The candidates must not have knock knee, flat foot, varicose vein or squint in eyes and they should possess high colour vision. They must be in good mental and bodily health and free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties.

6. HOW TO APPLY AND BY WHICH DATE:-
Eligible and interested candidates should send their Application and admit card duly filled in Hindi or English only in the prescribed proforma as per Annexure I and Annexure II. The application shall be type written or neatly hand written on one side only on full size plain paper with passport size photographs affixed on application duly attested by Gazetted Officer along with application fee and enclosures as in para-8 to the authority mentioned above in Col. 9 of para-4 so as to reach on or before the prescribed last date i.e. 14/12/2009 for all States except for Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland, Tripura, Sikkim, Ladakh Division of Jammu and Kashmir State, Lahaul-Spiti District and Pangi Sub-Division of Chamba District of HP, Andaman & Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep for which last date is 21/12/2009.

7. APPLICATION FEE:
Application Fee will be Rs. 50/- for candidates belonging to General and OBC category only and no fee will be charged from SC/ST.

8. SELECTION PROCESS:
The eligible candidates shall be issued Admit cards to appear in recruitment test. The date and place of recruitment test will be indicated in Admit card. Candidates will have to undergo the following tests:
a) Those who qualify the height test, will be subjected to 1.6 kilometers race to be completed within 8.30 minutes (Qualifying) (Those who do not qualify will be eliminated at this stage itself). Testimonials of the candidates will be checked after the identification process and only eligible candidates will go to the next step.

b) Physical Measurement: Candidates who are found eligible on screening of testimonials will be screened first for Height and Weight measurements.

c) Physical Efficiency Test: The PET will be qualifying in nature and will not carry any marks. The candidates who are found fit in Physical Measurements will be required to pass Physical Efficiency Test consisting of following events:-
(i) : 9 feet long jump (3 chances to be given)
(ii) :3 feet high jump ( 3 chances to be given)
Note: Those who do not qualify the above Physical Efficiency Tests will get eliminated at that stage only and will not be allowed to appear in further tests.

d) Written Test (100 Marks):
(i) The candidates who qualify in the Physical Efficiency Test will be required to appear in a Written Test.
(ii) The written test will consist of only OMR based objective type multiple choice questions to be answered using a pen.
e) Interview: There will be no interview in the recruitment.

9. All eligible candidates will be duly informed about the date and venue of the recruitment tests through admit card. Candidates should come duly prepared for 6-7 days stay under their own arrangements at the Recruitment Centre. The Government shall not be responsible for damage/injury, if any, to the individual sustained during the Physical Efficiency Test. No TA/DA will be admissible. Incomplete application will be summarily rejected and no correspondence on this will be entertained. No application after the last date as mentioned above will be accepted.
