Senior ABAP

Position Description

ActiProcess is a start-up backed by US investors that is in rapid growth phase and is actively looking for filling a number of development positions for product development.

Purpose of Position:

As a Senior Developer, you will responsible for designing, developing, implementing a variety of complex product features using the full suite of SAP’s development technologies (ABAP, Screen programming, SAP Workflow, RFC, BAPI, BADI, IDOCs/ALE, EAI/XI, WebDynpro, Portal) as part of the ActiProcess SAP product development team.

• Responsible for taking high level functional requirements and translating them into detailed technical designs
• Responsible for developing code as per technical designs
• Responsible for developing product enhancements and feature development as per product roadmaps
• Responsible for leading some initiatives and working with other developers
• Participate in new product development initiatives
• Work with testing team to help design the test plans

Position Requirements

• 6 or more years of solid hands-on SAP experience performing application design, development & implementation with SAP R/3. This experience must include not only ABAP, but significant working knowledge of the other development technologies which SAP employs such as SAP Workflow, RFCs/BAPIs/BADIs, IDOC/ALE.
• Extensive experience in ABAP programming including Dialog programming using all the advanced techniques like tab strips, controls etc.
• Extensive experience in SAP Data dictionary including creating data models and other dictionary objects
• Experience in SAP workflow technologies including hands on experience building multiple workflows using SAP Workflow tools is a definite plus.
• Extensive Experience in development Objective Oriented ABAP using ABAP Objects
• Minimum 3 years of demonstrating leadership skills and managing application development deliverables for smaller project development teams/external consultants for all technical aspects of the project
• Ability to develop detailed technical design documents based on requirements
• Ability to coordinate small developmental activities with a small team of developers
• Extensive experience in Software development methodologies
• Experience in Testing tools for SAP is a plus
• Experience in SAP ECC6.0 , R/3 4.7 and R/3 4.6C
• Experience working with end user requirements and developing functional and technical specifications based on user requirements
• Experience working in a onsite/offshore model is a plus
• Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related field degree

Experience in the following is a plus:
• SAP BI/BW
• Web technologies like J2EE, ASP.NET
• SAP EBP, APO, CRM, XI
• Open Standards like XML, SOAP, Web Service
