Design Engineer/Senior Design Engineer/Team Lead/Project Lead

Education –
·BE / ME / M. Tech. / Diploma (with Post Diploma in tooling) in Mechanical / Production / Automotive
·Post graduation in Tool design or Plastics will be an advantage

Experience – 2 to 10 years in automotive plastics

Role and Responsibility –
·Design and development of automotive interior and exterior plastics using CATIA V5 (IP, Console, trims, carpet, mirrors, bumpers, etc.,)
·Liaison with the styling team to gather design inputs
·Participate in design reviews
·Interact with the tool design team for ensuring part moldability and manufacturing concerns

Requirements –
·Hands on experience in plastics product design and development of automotive interiors and exteriors
·Proficiency in CATIA V5 (Part design, GSD, FSS, Assembly and Drafting)
·Good knowledge of GD&T
·Experience of having gone through the complete design life cycle of automotive plastics with exposure to APQP, DFME, 8D and DVP
·Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
·Experience in design and development of injection molds for automotive plastics will be an advantage
·Awareness of regulatory norms for automotive plastics
