Title “WIMAX Indoor unit and Out door unit”
The overall vision for 802.16 is that carriers would set up base stations connected to a public network. Each base station would support hundreds of fixed subscriber stations, probably mounted on rooftops. The base stations would then use the standard's medium access control layer (MAC) - a common interface that makes the networks interoperable - to nearly instantaneously allocate uplink and downlink bandwidth to subscribers according to their needs. This is also for fixed wireless but extends the range of WiMAX from 31 to 50 miles and operates in the low frequency 2-11GHz spectrum and so can be adopted by unlicensed operators. It uses point-to-multipoint or (optionally) mesh topologies and does not require line of sight. Specifically, it uses licensed bands at 3.5GHz and 10.5GHz internationally and 2.5-2.7GHz in the US; and unlicensed 2.4GHz and 5.725-5.825GHz.

WiMAX standard can be configured to be used in both base station and subscriber station applications. Subscriber units designed to meet Customer needs and network requirements. Available in both indoor and robust Outdoor designs, the subscriber units provide connectivity through the wireless Network. Libra MAX subscriber units feature advanced WiMAX, high-bandwidth data rates. Constellation NMS is a carrier-class network management system (NMS) specifically designed for managing WIMAX networks. Constellation NMS Enables system operators to fully manage all network elements, and provides Fault, Control, Accounting, Performance, and Security (FCAPS) functionality. The GUI based Constellation NMS provides real-time statistics and monitoring Information enabling centralized characterization and analysis of system Performance.
Testing and trouble shooting of WiMax Base stations, Subscriber stations Outdoor Units.
Identify the problem based on hardware or software related issues and repair the boards accordingly.
Handling whole RMA process in service part.
Identify the issues related to PMP, ACB or related boards and replace accordingly.
Burn the FRU based on the identified issues related to it.
Testing the IDU‘s based on synchronization of master, slave mode and check for synchronization related issues.
Checking clocks and voltages in the IC‘s with the help of Oscilloscopes and trouble shoot accordingly.
Check for GPS synchronization by generating external clock in front panel or back panel mode.
Testing and of Subscriber station and identify Ethernet issues, synchronization issues, modulation issues etc.
