    1. Superintendent / Dy. Manager (Bulk & Break bulk cargo) – Gujarat Pipavav Port Ltd. since April 06/2009 to August 28/2009

    This position reports directly to HOD, operations at Gujarat Pipavav Port Ltd. is responsible for the following activities.
    a) Jetty/ stevedoring operations :-
    As section head of all stevedoring operations of bulk / break bulk cargo vessels handled at this port, responsible for smooth loading /unloading of all cargoes (around 6 lacs MT pm of fertilisers, coal, steel plates and pipes, salt, iron ore pellets, gypsum, clinker, bauxite, scrap, steel coils, project cargo, steel billets,---etc.) Without incurring any demurrage, with minimum cost per metric ton and minimum handling loss without any quality problem either by vessel gears, shore cranes or by mechanical conveyor system/ship loader .

    Key responsibilities :-
    1-Prepare/implement vessel operation plan along with contractor and vessel.
    2-Berth the vessel at proper berth/place/position w.r.t. Shore cranes/mechanised system for safe and smooth operation.
    3-Follow the loading /discharging sequence at all times for smooth operation.
    4-Initial and final draft survey supervision.
    5-Cargo re-conciliation on a daily basis, ship to ship basis.
    6-Intra port transportation of bulk/bagged cargoes.
    7-Cargo documentation with ship, shippers, receivers, agents etc.
    8-Make sure that the benchmarks are achieved for all cargoes.
    9-Implement /follow all safety regulation's especially ISPS code.
    10- Lay time calculation of the vessel.
    11- Daily traffic review.
    12- Liaison with steamer agents & C & F agents & subrogate stevedores & customs & shippers & receivers, ----etc.
    13- Prepare the berth plan for berthing of vessels.
    14- Well verse with IPMS (Integrated Port Management System) software, which was developed for In and Out born cargo traffic and it, was the first step towards computerization of cargo traffic in Mundra Port & SEZ Ltd.

    1. Dry Cargo- stevedoring section head – Mundra Port & SEZ Ltd. From 1st Feb. 01/2007 to 02 April / 2009
    This position reports directly to HOD, dry cargo operations at Mundra Port and SEZ Ltd. is responsible for the following activities.
    a) Jetty/ stevedoring operations :-
    As section head of all stevedoring operations of dry cargo vessels handled at this port, responsible for smooth loading /unloading of all cargoes (around 17 lacs MT pm of wheat, agri products, fertilisers, coal, steel plates and pipes, salt, iron ore fines, rice, soya bean meal, bauxite, bentonite, salt, sugar, clay, scrap, cheak peas,yellow peas, steel coils, sugar, project cargo, steel billets,---etc.) Without incurring any demurrage, with minimum cost per metric ton and minimum handling loss without any quality problem either by vessel gears, shore cranes or by mechanical conveyor system/ship loader .

    Key responsibilities :-
    1-Prepare/implement vessel operation plan along with contractor and vessel.

    The job profile includes total cargo handling from receiving either from rail head or by trucks till storage in warehouse for further loading into ships for export and receiving discharged cargo from ship, store in warehouses, bagging and standardization for rail/road transportation to different destinations as per clients’ requirement.

    Key responsibilities :-
    1- All rail operations like rake placement, loading/unloading of cargo.
    2-Transportation to warehouse through Weigh Bridge and stacking.
    3-Bulking of cargo, mechanical cleaning and bulk storage with minimum handling loss.
    4-Bagging and standardization of cargo using scales & mobile bagging unit.
    5-Warehouse/Space management, day to day operational planning.
    6-Re-conciliation of cargo status.
    7- Documentation with customs and with other agencies / parties.
    8- Contract management. And contractor’s bills.
    9-Dispose off labor matters as when require.

    Junior Executive :
    This position reports directly to the branch manager and is responsible for all the following activities.
    1- Stevedoring operation, inspection during stuffing, de-stuffing of cargo, loading & unloading, ----etc.
