Brief description :
Digital Spread Spectrum (DSS) technology, the basic principle around which our project revolves around, has its roots back in World War II and has evolved into the technology of choice for many sophisticated communications systems, especially in the military. It was originally developed for the military under a veil of secrecy.
DSS can in some ways be considered as a kind of coding. The purpose of coding is to transform an information signal so that it looks more like noise. Noise has a flat uniform spectrum with no coherent peaks. The transmitted signal, which has been spread, cannot be decoded by unauthorized Receivers. Reception is possible only if the code-word is known at the Receiver end also. Also no one can tamper with the original message information.
