SAIL, a Navratna Company, is India’s largest steel producer with an annual turnover of around Rs.50,000 crore. It operates and owns one of it’s integrated steel plant at Burnpur. The company is now implementing a massive expansion plan involving a modernised plant at Burnpur.

IISCO STEEL PLANT is looking for competent experienced personnel for recruitment to the following posts for its Burnpur Unit, West Bengal having experience in Operation or maintenance of Cranes /Locos / Instrumentation / Process Control / Power Distribution / Electronic Panel etc. in Steel Industry

A)Post, No. of vacancies
Operator Cum-Technician 100
Attendant cum-Technician 100

B) Scale of Pay
Operator Cum-Technician : Grade:S-3 (Scale of pay : 4170-3%-6095)
Attendant cum-Technician : Grade: S-1 (Scale of pay : 4000- 3%-5600)

C) Emoluments and Other Benefits: The total emoluments at the minimum of the scale will be Rs.9,000/ approx. at
S-1 and Rs.10,000/- approx. at S-3. They will be entitled for other facilities such as Medical for self and family, company
accommodation or HRA, Provident Fund, Gratuity,,LTC, Leave Encashment, Reimbursement of Local Travel Expenses,
Production Incentive etc. as per rules.

D) Educational qualification,experience and Age required
Operator-cum-Technician:
Candidates should be Diploma in Engineering
(Mettallurgy,Chemical,Ceramics,Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics,
Instrumentation etc) with minimum 5 years of experience in Operation of
Steel Plant or maintenance of Cranes/Locos/Instrumentation/ Process Control/Power Distribution /Electronic Panel /experience of working in steel industry.
Maximum Age as on 01-09-2009 is 35 years.

Attendant cum-Technician :
Candidates should be Matriculate –OR- equivalent with ITI in Trades like
Mechanical/Electrical/Electronic etc. with minimum 2 years of experience in
Operation of Steel Plant or maintenance of Cranes/Locos/Instrumentation/
Process Control/Power Distribution/Electronic Panel / experience of working
in steel industry. Maximum Age as on 01-09-2009 is 30 years

G) Selection :
Eligible candidates will be required to appear for an objective type written test at any one of the centres at Kolkata, Delhi, Nagpur and Hydrabad.
However, SAIL-ISP may add/delete any centre and allocate appropriate centre to the candidate The written test for the above mentioned posts will be held on the same day at all Center

1) Interested eligible candidates should apply giving full particulars in PRESCRIBED FORMAT only as indicated along side and shall attach necessary attested copies of certificates and testimonials for proof of Age, Qualification etc, along with your passport size recent photographs duly signed. Same photograph should be affixed for the entire process of recruitment and selection whenever required. Application must be filled up in BLOCK CAPITAL LETTERS IN ENGLISH ONLY.

2) Applications must accompany the prescribed application fees and postal charges by a Crossed Demand Draft payable at BURNPUR drawn in favour of ‘STEEL AUTHORITY OF INDIA LTD – IISCO STEEL PLANT’. Applications submitted without fees and postal charges are liable to be rejected.
